The Exciting Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Programme Leader in Apprenticeships for Engineering.
Our Engineering facilities including workshops and classrooms have recently received significant investment and updated to reflect industry standards. As the Engineering department remains a key department of focus and investment from the College, it is an exciting time to join the department.
The successful candidate will be based at our Accrington Campus but will be required to travel across sites.
What You Will Be Doing:
Reporting into the Head of Division you will lead a team of Trainer Assessors in delivering high quality apprenticeships in Engineering, working closely with employers to co-design the curriculum to meet their business needs.
The role will involve providing support and information to potential learners, employers and staff so they understand the expectations of attaining and achieving their full Apprenticeship Standard with high grades.
You will work closely with the Head of Division to support the team through CPD activities and development of their industry skills so that apprentice's benefit from a consistently excellent learning experience.
You will be responsible for monitoring and leading on the outcomes of all apprentices in the sector area.

What We Are Looking For:
- Substantial current experience of successful delivery Apprenticeship Standards in Engineering
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
- GCSE grade C or equivalent qualification in both Maths and English
- A recognised assessing qualification e.g. A1 Assessors Award
- A recognised IQA qualification
- Recognised teaching qualification at Level 3 or above or a willingness to undertake this.
