Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative at Wathgill Camp in Richmond.
As the Training Area Operative, you will play a key part in helping to maintain a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.
We are looking for someone who is keen to work outdoors in a rural environment, previous experience in a similar industry is desirable but not essential. Landmarc offer great career progression and will provide full training to the successful applicant.
This role requires you to work flexibly over the course of a 37 hour week, between the hours of 07:30 – 23:30. There will be a requirement to work some weekends, this is reflected in our Variable Days Allowance.

Main ResponsibilitiesMaintaining the training facilities
Preparing training areas for use
Handover and take back of the facilities
Preventative and Reactive maintenance tasks
Track and fencing repairs, Dry stone walling
Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment (training provided)
Manufacturing targets
Driving and operating fleet vehicles
Use of warning systems including training control offices, radar, flags and lights
Report any defects or issues and deal with unauthorised persons on the Training Estate
To complete all relevant documentation utilising both IT and paper based systems
Carry out any other additional requirements as needed
The Ideal CandidateKnowledge of Health and Safety such as COSHH, manual handling, risk assessments and safe systems of work
Basic labouring, caretaking and DIY skills
Excellent communication skills
Open minded and flexible approach to work
Ability to complete documentation
Basic IT skills and ability to use a tablet
Willingness to undertake further training
Must hold a full valid UK driving licence (essential)
