SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to be the single point of contact for designing, developing, and evaluating technical training courses, instructional materials, and measurement devices through the analysis of educational or instructional problems or questions. Also responsible for supervising, planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over subordinate employee(s) assigned to the Training Development element.

DUTIES:

• Serves as Training Development Element Chief, 382 TRS Training Development Element, developing strategic plans for the development of training courses at Ft Sam Houston and across 12 USAF medical treatment facilities located on 12 USAF military bases in subject-matter areas and groupings of courses aligned with Air Force (AF), Air Education Training Command (AETC), and unit objectives.
• Develops, reviews, and revises technical training courses, instructional materials, and measurement devices in accordance with AETC instructional guidance and AFI 41-105, Medical Training Programs.
• Represents the 382d Squadron Training Development Function with a variety of installation and functional area organizations to include those located at JBSA Ft Sam Houston and 12 USAF medical treatment facilities located across 12 military bases.
• Provides technical and administrative supervision to nine 382 TRS curriculum development managers (CDM), one test custodian, and ten career development course (CDC) writers within the Training Development Element.

SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Instructional Systems Specialist developing programs of instruction in occupational specialties or fields.

DUTIES:

• Plans, coordinates, designs and validates instruction.

• Develops operations documentation to effectively accomplish mission objectives without compromising crew safety. Documentation includes flight rules, crew and ground procedures, operations support timelines, systems manuals, and console handbooks.
• Evaluates the performance of group personnel in training, informs the group lead of evaluation results, and provides oral and written critiques to the individual under evaluation. Recommends any additional training to ensure proficiency.
• Presents operations concepts, techniques, and proposed solutions to boards and panels containing diverse audiences of varying levels of NASA and contractor leadership.

Check on upcoming programs and tournaments at Golf Club daily. Performs and/or assists other recreation aids in the operation as a golf cart attendant. Cleans and maintains club storage throughout the day. Cleans and services golf carts and cart barn throughout the day. Cleans rental golf clubs. Accounts for golf carts at the end of each business day and secures all buildings. Routinely maintains the area around the Club House and parking lot, as well as emptying trash containers outside of Club House. Operates motorized ball picker and retrieves range balls from the driving range. Hand picks range balls from trees, fairways and other areas throughout the day. Restocks all sand and seed refill stations throughout the day. Fills and cleans all water coolers on the course to include restocking the cups throughout the day. Sets up and cleans the driving range on a daily basis. Insures tees and tee mats are replaced and in good condition. Cleans and sorts all range balls daily, discarding worn, cut or damaged balls. Employee will assist in setting up registration areas for golf tournaments as well as assisting the Food and Beverage Supervisor in arranging the room for special functions and events. Opens and secures cart barns and equipment and tags carts needing repair.
