A mid-tier gold producer is looking for a Training Co-Ordinator to join the team on a permanent full-time opportunity. This role is offered on a FIFO, DIDO, or Residential basis, with the site based in Far North QLD.
Your new role
As a Training Coordinator, you will support the Health, Safety and Training Department by providing training, technical, and administrative support to the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
Review and manage work practices of trainer/assessors so they are in accordance with the statutory safety and environmental requirements, company procedures, and appropriate risk management processes.
Participate in compliance audits as required.
Mentor, coach and assist trainer / assessors in the coordination of activities to ensure consistent high-quality outcomes are achieved.
Coordinate activities of trainer / assessors within area of responsibility
Provide leadership and direction to employees and contractors such that they carry out their work safely and efficiently.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will require:
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
Background in paramedicine or nursing
Mining experience, specifically with underground
Previous experience in a similar role
Advanced computer skills - particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and previous use of INX
Understanding and exposure to QLD Mining Legislation
Demonstrated experience in functional leadership, including strategic planning, project, and program management.
