The School of Business and Law (SOBL) at LSBF Singapore Campus is looking to hire a Lecturer for the Luxury Business Management course. Reporting to the Head of SoBL and Programme Leader, your role will involve teaching within the degree courses and supervising final year and practice projects across various disciplines encompassing design, creative computing, and visual communication.
Qualifications Needed:
• Postgraduate qualification, preferably at PhD level, or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• At least three to five years of teaching experience at the tertiary level, familiar with minimum three years of full-time relevant professional practice.
• ACTA / ACLP / SDALT teaching qualification would be an added advantage
• Any other NTU/NIE/UK/Australia Higher Education teaching and learning qualifications
For Senior Lecturer:
• Minimum 9 years of postgraduate teaching experience in practice-based arts at tertiary level or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of proven professional experience in related design fields or tertiary Communication, creative computing, design education, along with a PhD qualification.
Required Expertise:
• Substantial professional practice in communication design, design for interaction, brand communication, service design, experience design, or related design fields.
• Profound knowledge of design history and theory, cultural and contextual studies, with active involvement in relevant design practice and/or established research projects and publications.
Additional Skills:
• Additional duties encompass coordinating academic learning activities, overseeing academic administration and organization, providing feedback on assignments, conducting assessments and marking, mentoring students, and assisting with recruitment.
• You will also play a key role in advancing the academic aspects of the programme, collaborating within a team, and participating in specific programme activities, projects, exhibitions, field trips, industry expert engagement, and interdisciplinary initiatives across faculties.
• A strong commitment to teaching with a capacity to foster excellence in teaching and student learning. To attend the assessment marking, setting, moderation meetings, staff / student course committee meetings and the Academic meetings as requested.
• Excellent communication, organizational, team working, and academic administration skills.
• Positive attitude towards research, and preferably a demonstrable personal research profile.
