Include but not limited to the following:-
- To carry out teaching duties for both full-time and part-time programmes (PET & CET).
- To prepare teaching courseware before start of academic term or programme.
- To review and update teaching courseware through subject reviews for relevancy and currency.
- To employ effective pedagogical method(s) e.g. video, group work, site visit, guest speaker etc. for lesson delivery.
- To conduct WSQ assessments in accordance to the Assessment Plan for the Competency Unit.
- To provide pastoral care to students through meaningful activities e.g. counselling, career guidance.
- To conduct tutorial lessons for academically weak students.
- To develop, review courseware and pedagogical methods and conduct Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing and Education Training (CET) programmes.
- To set test/exam papers in accordance to the Assessment Plan for subject.
- To mark and submit exam results and all required documentation accurately and by the required deadline.
- To conduct exam invigilation.
- To conduct Industrial Attachment (IA) visits at least once in every three (3) months.
- To carry out administrative duties e.g., update student attendance, recording of counselling and engagements sessions.
- To participate in official school and industry-related events and activities e.g. parents’ engagement, open house, school talks.
- To attend training and development classes.
- To maintain professional presence and establish position industry relations through membership in industry associations.
- To carry out duties pertaining to the operations of the school’s training establishments, including restaurants, cafes, delis, etc…as and when assigned by management.
- To demonstrate professional conduct in all interactions with stakeholders.
- To make meaningful contributions to school community through active participation in project teams.
- To participate and carry out any other duties and/or projects as and when assigned by management.
Job Requirements :
- Degree holder in relevant field of studies from a recognised educational institution with at least 5 years industry experience at a supervisory/managerial level.
- WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance mandatory.
- Excellent command of English, with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Team player who is able to work with faculty members and administrative staff.
- Keen interest in nurturing students in their learning journey.
- Key diploma level modules to delivery include budgeting, cost control and revenue management.
