Job Description:
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to individuals within a healthcare setting. About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Special Needs School Nursing Team within Lancashire and South Cumbria Foundation Trust.

You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic RN child, RSCN trained nurse ideally with some special needs school nursing experience, wishing to expand your knowledge and skills of working with children with additional and complex nursing needs. You will be responsible for the training and updating of education, staff using evidence based competency training packs, to carry out procedures which include administration of medication, enteral feeds, tracheostomy, suction, oxygen.

You will lead on the Initial Health Assessment and drawing up of care plans and work in partnership school staff, parents and carers in there implementation.

Contribute to the public health agenda through Personal Health and Social Education and health promotion activities.

You will work alongside the Senior Special Needs School Nurse in order to identify children in need and children in need of protection working in partnership with the families and initiate multi agency working where necessary and to take on-going responsibilities e.g. Lead Professional within the Common Assessment Framework as appropriate. Participate in report writing and attendance at Safeguarding Conferences, Reviews and Core Group meetings with support from the senior special needs school nurse.

It is essential you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work in partnership with the child’s parents’, teachers and other health care professionals, offering support and advice to education staff on health related issues that affect the children within the school setting. It is essential you can work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Clinical Document Coder

Position: Clinical Document Coder
Type: Part-Time (20 - 30 hours per week)
Location: Burnley

Job Summary

Not-for-profit community interest company dedicated to providing high-quality services to our GP practice members and a portfolio of patient services. Our clinical services are led by experienced clinical leads working collaboratively with Federation managers.

Main Duties of the Job

• Extract and analyze clinical information from manual and computerized patient health records to assign appropriate clinical codes.
• Ensure accuracy in clinical coding, impacting revenue generation and funding for the Practice.
• Provide cover for coding staff absences as needed, ensuring continuity in data coding.
• Work independently on routine coding tasks once trained, seeking guidance from a supervisor when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with the coding team, doctors, nursing staff, and others regarding coding issues.
• Resolve coding queries by consulting with your line manager and other medical staff.
• Manage your workload to ensure accuracy and completeness in meeting targets, and communicate any challenges to your Line Manager.
• Assist with any ad hoc administrative duties as required.

Senior Care Assistant (Nights) based at Heather Grange, Burnley

Available Hours:

Permanent- Full Time- 44 hours per week.

About the role

As a Senior Care Assistant at MHA you will lead and inspire a team of committed care assistants to provide the highest quality of care to our residents enabling them to live later life well. Duties will be varied and include supporting our residents with personal care needs and helping them to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing. In addition, you will administer medication and maintain clear and accurate records. About you

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be passionate about caring for older people, have previous care experience and, as a minimum, hold an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care and be willing to complete level 3. In addition, you will have experience leading, coaching and motivating a team to deliver high quality care.

You will have a kind, warm and caring nature and be able to work well as part of a team but also use your own initiative. Patience, communication and listening skills are equally important. Maintaining accurate records, time management and prioritising tasks will also be strengths.
