About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Void Surveyor to join our team, working with a leading Property Services Contractor on social housing void projects in and around Harrow. If you have experience in property surveying and a passion for delivering high-quality service in the social housing sector, this opportunity is perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed surveys of void properties to assess condition and necessary repair works.
• Prepare comprehensive schedules of work and cost estimates for void refurbishment.
• Collaborate with contractors and site teams to ensure efficient project delivery and completion within budget and timeframes.
• Ensure all works comply with health and safety regulations and are carried out to a high standard.
• Liaise with tenants, housing officers, and other stakeholders to manage expectations and communication effectively.
• Provide regular progress reports and updates to senior management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar Void Surveyor role, ideally within social housing or property services.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, maintenance, and refurbishment.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across Harrow and nearby areas.

Your new company
Our client is a public sector organisation based in Southwest London who are looking for a Fire Safety Surveyor to join their team on an ongoing 3-month rolling contract basis. The job is to manage the organisation's residential assets to ensure all fire safety works are carried out to comply with all the latest fire and building regulations.

Your new role
As the Fire Safety Surveyor, you will:
Review fire/Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) issues highlighted within consultants' reports and compliance reviews both on site and desktop in conjunction with Compliance Officers.
Aiding with specification and procurement of remedial works to ensure compliance with fire, statutory and H&S regulations/Acts.
Advising and producing written reports on FRA /Fire issues generally.
The organisation deals with a variety of residential stock ranging from high rise blocks to care homes, giving you a wide remit of works to ensure all buildings are fully compliant.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, it is essential that you have:
A qualification in fire safety/engineering.
Solid background and experience in fire risk assessing and inspection within the industry.
Excellent English literacy, report writing and communication skills.
Ability and experience of using varying Microsoft software packages.
If you have residential experience, it will be an advantage. However our client is happy to consider fully qualified Fire Safety experts from a varied background.

About the role

We are looking for a talented Construction CRE Track to join our Rail team and work on the successful delivery of the rail works associated with the Sizewell C project.

*** This role will be based in London until Sizewell Project offices are operational in Suffolk ***

What you'll be doing

• Provide the Project Team with discipline-specific technical guidance, leadership, and site safety oversight, monitoring project performance to maximise efficiency and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate and manage Track discipline engineering activities across all relevant internal and external parties.
• Develop and adapt project Technical Instructions for the Track discipline to support efficient and safe project methodologies and installation activities.
• Ensure that discipline design and installation comply with all applicable standards, legislation, contract requirements, and specifications.
• Adhere to the risk assessment and mitigation plan to manage technical risks effectively during pre-construction and delivery phases.
• Support the Project Team in reviewing and executing Track design and construction activities, including assessing construction risks, mitigation strategies, method statements, and work package plans.
• Conduct technical, quality, and compliance audits as required to confirm the project follows applicable standards and legislation, BBR processes, procedures, and industry best practices.

Who we're looking for

• Minimum HNC/HND in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) (desirable).
• Strong and proven experience in a similar role on railway infrastructure project.
• Strong knowledge of site engineering practices and equipment.
• PTS certification.
• Collaborative and influential leadership skills.
• Excellent communication, with ability to listen, provide clear and concise instruction during normal and emergency situations, is assertive and shares information effectively.
