Position Overview
The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of telecommunication projects, ensuring efficient, safe, and defect-free execution. This role involves managing all aspects of project delivery, coordinating with key stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Construction Project Manager will provide leadership and support to field technicians and subcontractors, maintain strong client relationships, and uphold S.C. Services' commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of telecommunication infrastructure projects.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, forecasts, and resource plans, ensuring timely project delivery.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and compliance with financial targets.
• Coordinate site activities, including personnel, materials, and equipment allocation.
• Conduct post-implementation audits to assess project success and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare client quotations, manage purchase orders, and ensure accurate project documentation.
Stakeholder Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate project details and updates effectively to stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and field staff.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Work with clients to define project requirements, scope, and objectives, ensuring clear understanding and alignment.
Team Leadership
• Provide operational leadership to field staff, including rigging and technical resources.
• Lead, mentor, and train teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of daily activities.
• Foster a positive and productive workplace culture aligned with S.C. Services' values.
• Manage subcontractors and internal teams effectively, optimizing resource utilization and maintaining high-quality standards.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Compliance
• Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with OHS regulations and company safety policies.
• Manage safety protocols on-site, aiming for zero incidents and promoting a strong safety culture.
• Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and HSE reviews to ensure compliance and address any issues.
• Report any incidents, injuries, or near-misses promptly using SkyTrust and notify relevant personnel.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained to comply with safety standards (e.g., First Aid kits, Fire Extinguishers, MSDS).
Commercial and Risk Management
• Ensure projects are delivered within budget, on time, and safely.
• Analyze project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues promptly.
• Provide decision-making skills to assess situations, gather information, and evaluate potential solutions.
• Oversee the compilation of daily progress reports, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Australian Citizens and permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
• Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Project Management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with recent experience in the local market.
• Current Open Driver’s License (Manual C Class).
• RF Electromagnetic Radiation Hazard (RADHAZ) Awareness.
• Work Safely at Heights certification.
• Construction White Card.
• First Aid & CPR certification.
• Proven track record of successful project deployment and team management.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Work Environment
• The role involves travel to project sites, requiring a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work at heights and in diverse environmental conditions.
• Flexibility to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage dynamic site activities.
