Job description
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the conceptualization and development of interior design concepts, considering client requirements, aesthetic preferences, and functional needs.
· Translate design concepts into detailed plans, drawings, and specifications, incorporating materials, finishes, furnishings, and lighting solutions.
· Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to integrate interior design elements seamlessly into overall project plans.
· Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering their growth and development within the team.
· Oversee the selection and procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), ensuring alignment with design concepts, budgetary constraints, and project timelines.
· Conduct site visits to assess project progress, address design challenges, and ensure compliance with design intent.
· Cultivate strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and ambassador for our design firm.
· Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative design practices, incorporating relevant insights into our projects.
· Uphold our firm's commitment to sustainability, wellness, and inclusivity in all design endeavors.
Qualifications:
· Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
· Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
· Proven track record of leading design projects from concept to completion, demonstrating creativity, innovation, and attention to detail.
· Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Revit
· Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and standards relevant to interior design.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts persuasively and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Leadership abilities, with experience mentoring junior designers and leading project teams.
· NCIDQ certification or eligibility preferred.
· Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of completed projects and design capabilities.
