Hessle, East Yorkshire (30% travel)

Monday - Friday: 8.30am - 5pm (flexible start/finish times)

JOB SUMMARY:

Under general direction, the Design Engineer is responsible applying knowledge and experience gained in multiple project, primarily focusing on equipment design and fabrication drawings, process engineering, including project support, start-up support; ensuring accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. The candidate will be required to travel at short notice around the world and must be flexible to do so with a valid passport.

Please note that "heat exchange" experience is a must for this role.

Job Description: Design Engineer

• Provide equipment and process design from concept through to start-up and operation on multiple projects by meeting project timelines, minimizing project costs, assuring proper equipment and process design and specifications of purchased components, generating, and checking equipment fabrication drawings, calculations and having thorough documentation; ensure accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
• Perform various engineering calculations and analyses related to process design and equipment sizing and selection.
• Provide engineering support to customers, and to the Sales, R&D, and Aftermarket teams.
• Review design and perform code calculation requirements for pressure vessels.
• As required and as assigned, perform the roles, functions, and responsibilities for project manager.
• Respond to requests and work integrally with internal and external customers to provide efficient designs to meet project requirements.

Essential Skills: Design Engineer

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-6+ years related experience (Level II)
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical and commercial contracts.
• Must be able to communicate in English fluently. Ability to communicate in a second language (European or Asian languages) preferred but not required.
• Required knowledge in AutoCAD.
• Strong Microsoft office skills.
• Preferred knowledge in Autodesk Inventor, CAD Vault, ASME, COMPRESS, PED, ASPIN and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Ability to travel on an as needed basis - domestically or internationally up to 15% of the time, in office and industrial plant environments.
• Must be flexible to travel as and when required - this could be anywhere around the world.

• Project Scheduling, tracking and reporting
• Piping & Instrumentation Diagram creation

What will I be doing?

As the Entertainment Manager at Nidd Hall, you will be responsible for the delivery of performances and activities, we offer our guests.

Not only will you schedule and manage the diverse entertainment provision across multi venues on and off stage but will also assist the Entertainment Support Team in the development of the entertainment offering.

Electronic Design Engineer
Harrogate, £Neg DOE

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business as an electronics engineer with an enthusiasm for product design and testing This will entail carrying out consultancy projects and product development activities within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists working on a range of systems.

The role will include the commercialisation of technologies, including design, test and certification and production support. The location will be office-based Harrogate, North Yorkshire but will include occasional travel and site testing.
Electronics Engineer role and responsibilities:
* Electronics schematics and design (including PCB, firmware and wiring).
* Develop specifications and implement test plans to validate the functionality and reliability of designs.
* Maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, diagrams, and test reports.
* Ensure that all designs meet the company's quality and reliability standards.
* Production support, product handover, and life cycle management.
* Debug and integration on a range of inspection and robotics products.
* Regulatory compliance and Technical constriction files and certification (i.e. EMC)
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship.
* Ensure implementation, adherence, and improvement of the internal design process.
* Work with project and business partners to improve departmental capabilities.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget.
* Strong Technical Report writing and presenting.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
* HNC /HND / BEng / MEng or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
* Track record in design and development, particularly in commercial products.
* Experience leading projects from concept to production, including project management, design reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
* Proficiency in schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection.
* Demonstrable experience prototyping, testing, and debugging electronic products.
* In-depth understanding of regulatory standards and certifications relevant to electronic products.
* High level of proficiency in test and measurement.
* Strong practical capabilities. (Rework to 0402, comfortable with QFN is desirable)
* Demonstrable track record of CE/UKCA marking and product commercialisation.
