Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for a world class candidate for the role of Sr. Partner Solutions Architect, Application Modernization. As a Partner SA and application modernization technology domain expert, you will work with partners to modernize customer’s application workloads from legacy applications to modern cloud native services like containers, serverless. As a partner Solutions Architect you’ll help build an ecosystem of partners for our application modernization services. This involves engaging with consulting and technology partners and their customers to integrate AWS services like Containers, serverless into their solutions and practices. • 5+ years hands on experience developing, managing or working with Containers, Serverless, and integration services technologies such as: ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, MQ, and/or Step Functions

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the following:
• Lead Data center electrical designs in collaboration with other disciplines to create a coordinated construction document set
• Participate in site selection reviews and work with local utilities to understand and define site utility requirements
• Critical Data Center equipment design including site-wide MV infrastructure, Generators, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Switchgear, Transformers and Earthing
• Creation of designs which meet or exceed our quality requirements and fall within our budgetary requirements
• Work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify the appropriate electrical equipment
• Work with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with IEC requirements, the various APAC wide design codes and other jurisdictional requirements
• Review and approval of equipment submittals and ability to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during construction phases
• Work with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in an Electrical Engineering field and 3+ years of experience directly related to data center or mission critical facility design

• Fundamental understanding of critical MV and LV electrical equipment

You will represent AMS within the customers’ environment and drive discussions at multiple levels within the customer organization to Senior Leaders at the C level, technical personnel and management regarding incident management, trade-offs, best practices, and risk management.

· Ensure customer business objectives are achieved with strong partnership and infrastructure solutions that meet customer’s needs.
· Drive customer transformation activities and manage the engagement via governance to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
· Guide customers to ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services following the principles of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
· Make impactful recommendations and develop technical direction and future state architecture for clients in alignment with their business plans.
· Help educate enterprise customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
· Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
· Engage customers - collaborate with Customer Service Delivery Managers, Account Teams and Technical Delivery Managers to develop strong customer and partner relationships.
· You will engage directly with AMS and AWS service teams to be the voice of the customer and work with internal AWS resources to drive innovation, feature request, and resolution to customer impacting bugs and/or issues.
· Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AMS Cloud Architecture community.
· Assist in building AMS Operational service offerings and processes that demonstrate the value of well operated in the cloud.
· Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as blogs and whitepapers.

Basic qualifications

• 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
• 7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience
• 3+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience
• 7+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience
• Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in Managed Service provider - managing IT environments on behalf of customers.
• Computer Science Degree
• MBA degree, or strong understanding of business strategy ·
• Large Enterprise experience
• Experience and Certification in ITIL and or Dev Ops · AWS Solution Architect Professional Certificate, AWS Developer Professional Certificate
• Programming experience, Python, PowerShell, etc.
• Strong understanding of how IT solutions impact business Strategy
• Experience with automation to deploy and manage infrastructure, database and networking architectures for Internet-scale applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, which will be key in driving customer and internal communications with all key stakeholders

• Serve as a key technical member of the Solutions Architecture team, helping to ensure customer success in building applications and services on the AWS platform

You'll collaborate with Sales and other teams to help address customer business needs, accelerate the adoption of AWS services, and drive revenue growth. You will partner with our services teams, marketing, and professional services.

About the team
This role is within the ASEAN CSC Solution Architecture (SA) team. The CSC is the inside sales organisation of AWS and is focused on new customer acquisitions across ASEAN at scale. You will have the exciting opportunity to work cross-functionally and cross-geographically, as you collaborate with internal stakeholders from sales, operations, partner, and marketing teams, while being part of an entirely new concept at AWS.

Basic qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• Experience creating proof of concepts, demos, and/or scripts from scratch or leveraging reusable components
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

Preferred qualifications

• Broad technology experience including: cloud architecture, applications development, relational databases, NoSQL databases, analytics, machine learning, networking, security, storage, DevOps, containers, serverless, CI/CD, management and monitoring, cloud migrations, IT transformation.
• Experience architecting/designing solutions ideally built on the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
