Job Overview
The Administrative Coordinator serves as the critical and initial point of contact for all visitors to Georgetown University's Office of Advancement
They provide a broad range of operational and administrative support for Chief Operating Officer for the Office of Advancement, including front office reception for two floors, new employee onboarding tasks, calendar management and scheduling.
Work Interactions
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer for the Office of Advancement, the Administrative Coordinator supports the overall mission of Office of Advancement and serves as a trusted advisor to all in the Office of Advancement in the deployment of talent management strategies to achieve Advancement’s goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A High School diploma or equivalency - preference for a Bachelor’s degree
- 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent training
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor
- Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under deadlines
- Strong collaborative and project management skills
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at once with little supervision
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion
- A professional demeanor in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to employ good judgment, flexibility toward effective communication with all staff levels
