Main Duties and Responsibilities

The role involves managing and assisting with audits for a diverse range of clients across various sectors. Candidates should have experience leading audits from planning through to completion, including supervising team members.

Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing accounting and auditing is essential to ensure compliance. Candidates are expected to be working towards ACA, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification. This client-facing role requires teamwork and the ability to meet deadlines.

Travel to client premises may be necessary, and flexibility in working hours is expected.

General Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality audit services using a bespoke risk-based approach.

Act as the senior auditor on engagements, responsible for planning and completing audit files, including drafting financial statements, management letters, and letters of representation.

Manage a team of up to five staff members, supervising and delegating tasks effectively.

Maintain regular communication with the audit manager regarding progress and provide recommendations for improving clients' accounting systems.

Evaluate team members' performance upon completion of assignments.

Candidate Profile

Work-Based Competencies:

- Part-qualified ACA or ACCA.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

- Experience with electronic audit programs; familiarity with CaseWare is advantageous

Your new role
Your new job working as a Senior Operations Technician means you will be acting as the go to person for all technical auditing, authorisation and issuance support. You will have an ability to demonstrate excellent technical insurance knowledge and understanding of the industry and its regulators. Your new job will be responsible for auditing and authorising invoices and evidence of cover documentation as well as ensuring the documentation is compliant with the information agreed within the Market Reform Contract Slip and any associated instruction or schedule. Demonstrating a working understanding of all the resources available in relation to current Tax and VAT requirements associated with the successful completion of day-to-day activities and extensive understanding of MRCs.

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience as working as a Technician within a Lloyd's Broker handling any of the following classes Property, Liability, Marine, Construction, Financial Lines and Fine Art will contribute to your success in securing this role. Ideally, you will have a strong understanding and experience in checking and auditing invoices and all types of evidence of cover documents. You will be able to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and technical support within the team, ensuring the timely accurate issuance of high-quality compliant Insurance documentation. You will have excellent attention to detail and accuracy within your new role, a high level of accountability, self-motivation, able to work with a degree of autonomy, strong computer and robust communication skills. Job Responsibilities:

1. Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
2. Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
3. Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
4. Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
5. Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
6. Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
7. Understand expense accounts and cost centers
8. Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
9. Various administrative tasks, including mailings, typing correspondence, report preparation, scanning, etc.
