ABOUT YOUR ROLE

You will be required to lead the compliance of end-to-end Logistics for MY, SG & PHP.  Managing the operation of external warehouses including bonded warehouses.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE 

• Coordinate with the planning of shipping from the manufacturing location. 
• Prepare operational schedules and coordinate logistics activities to ensure delivery of products meet specifications.
• Lead brokerage compliance and all customs clearance related activities for import shipments
• Application and renewal of MIDA certifications for manufacturing raw materials duty exemption.
• Timely updates on C1 and CJ5 application for SST exemption.
• Lead the operations of the external warehouses (including bonded warehouse), ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards.
• Negotiate prices and rates in accordance to company guidelines and standards.
• SIRIM application for electronics demo (for engineering team) equipment.
• Ensure compliance with customs clearance procedures, particularly for bonded warehouse shipments.
• Ensure all logistics operations comply with local and international trade regulations.
• Handle documentation for bonded warehouse activities, customs clearance, and delivery logistics.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs related to external warehouse and transporter to drive continuous improvement
• Manage and coordinate with import shipment and shunting transporters for efficient and timely delivery arrangements.      
• Coordinate inventory control and stock accuracy in both bonded and non-bonded storage facilities.

As a Distribution Centre Controller, you support DC controlling and DC operations to achieve business results, optimiza performance and ensure compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for all financial and operational data related to DC controlling, incl. set up and follow up on agreed budget, projects, KPIs (e.g. cost, service, sustainability) in terms of efficiency and productivity as well as quality assurance
• Support departments and management team with financial and quantitative insights as well as reports and analyses
• Support identifying and driving areas of improvement with regards to DC performance by performing relevant analyses and reports as well as define potential action plan, e.g. for improving profitability, service level, efficiency, DC costs etc.
• Support defining framework & reports structure to follow up on business results on regular basis, in alignment with overall global guidelines and reporting needs of DC mgmt., audit routines etc. Support and drive contract negotiation (e.g. oversee and initiate tendering of contracts with external vendors)
• Challenge , validate planning and provide quantitative decision support to DC management team

• In this role, you will manage end-to-end freight operations for shipments originating in Asia to destinations across the US, Europe, China, and Australia. You will work closely with forwarders, carriers, and 3PLs to secure space, optimize container utilization, and resolve capacity or scheduling challenges to ensure seamless logistics.

• The role involves working closely with the Supply Planning, Sourcing, and Quality teams to synchronize delivery schedules and cargo readiness dates with production plans, ensuring alignment with global demand forecasts. You will also prepare for peak shipping seasons by forecasting space requirements and coordinating detailed execution plans.

• You will actively monitor and report key supply chain metrics, identifying and addressing any issues that could impact delivery timelines or service levels. Risk management, including overseeing compliance with import/export regulations, will be critical in this role. In addition, you will evaluate vendor capabilities, develop plans to mitigate risks, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, cost management, and innovation.

• You will build strong relationships with CMs, 3PLs, and carriers to foster continuous improvement and operational excellence. From time to time, you will visit vendors to ensure alignment on expectations, resolve performance issues, and maintain high standards across the supply chain.

• You will collaborate with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to align freight plans with production schedules, holding them accountable for performance metrics and ensuring the accuracy of shipping documentation, such as invoices and bills of lading. When issues arise, you will act swiftly to resolve discrepancies and maintain operational efficiency.
