Job Requirements:

You will be using your knowledge and skills to help us build and run our data management platform so that we can ensure the accuracy, consistency and efficiency our core data platforms.

• Develop and implement data quality rules to monitor core business data sets within the Master Data Management (MDM) environment
• Create data quality metrics and scorecards in order to identify and document data quality issues for tracking and reporting.
• Design and publish data quality dashboards using data visualization tools such as Power BI
• Prepare data quality assessments and suggest recommendations for promoting and increasing data quality
• Identify and document data quality issues for tracking and resolution.
• To provide operational support for our MDM through day-to-day monitoring, oversight and maintenance of the quality and integrity of our core business data sets in our Master Data Management platform.
• Promotion and development of the MDM as the golden source of data for reporting and use throughout the business
• Work with business partners and subject-matter experts (SMEs) to perform root cause analysis and business impact analysis.
• Work with our IT partners and project teams to assist in the continued design and addition of data models to the core business data sets and ingestion of new data sources into same.

Role overview:

The Senior Associate will be joining the new Global Due Diligence function at TerraPay and will be responsible for assisting with the onboarding of clients and partners in the APAC region. They will be working closely with the Head of Due Diligence and MLROs in ensuring the compliance with AML regulations across all jurisdictions where TerraPay is licensed and will help build and test new processes and procedures for onboarding and periodic reviews.

How you will create impact:

• Directly onboarding TerraPay clients and partners, carrying out full screening and risk assessments, ensuring that TerraPay’s due diligence requirements are met in full.
• Working directly with the business development managers / relationship managers to ensure new clients and partners are within TerraPay’s risk appetite and comply with TerraPay’s global AML policies.
• Performing enhanced deep dive client/partner risk assessments and producing comprehensive reports for the respective MLROs and senior management to assist with high-risk customer decisioning.
• Working on creating procedure guides and manuals for the onboarding of clients from new business verticals. 
• Staying up to date with regulatory developments affecting the business and maintaining a working knowledge of relevant anti-money laundering regulations. 

Essential qualifications:

• Written and verbal fluency in English and Business Mandarin.
• Experience of correspondent banking relationships is preferred.
• Payments experience, especially in money remittance, or alternative payment methods is preferred.
• Experience/knowledge of issuing + acquiring is also preferred, including knowledge of Visa/Mastercard scheme rules.
• Preferably experience in performing EDD assessments on high-risk and complex clients.
• 5+ years of experience in financial crime (KYC, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring, quality assurance testing, SAR reporting).
• ICA, ACAMS or equivalent AML certifications would be advantageous.
