- Proven experience in managing financial reporting and audit processes.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in working with corporate secretarial companies is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide strategic financial insights.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Performance & Efficiency
- Cost Management: Maintain operating costs within the allocated budget.
- Profit Margin: Improve or maintain net profit margins as prescribed by the Branch Manager.
- Cash Flow Management: Ensure positive cash flow and maintain an optimal level of working capital.
- Financial Reporting & Accuracy
- Timely Financial Reporting: Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements within the specified timeframe, with submissions to Global Finance due by the 3rd of each month.
- Accuracy of Financial Forecasts: Maintain less than a 10% variance between forecasted and actual financial performance.
- Audit Compliance: Achieve clean audit reports with zero major findings.
- Financial Statement Integrity: Ensure zero material errors or restatements in financial reports.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and government reporting requirements.
- Risk Management: Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Debt Management: Keep debt ratios within acceptable levels as per company goals.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Team Development: Achieve 90% completion of professional development goals or training programs by team members.
- Employee Satisfaction: Maintain a high level of engagement and satisfaction within the finance team, as measured by employee surveys.
- Succession Planning: Ensure that key finance roles have trained successors and develop leadership capabilities within the team.
- Strategic Contributions
- Budgeting Process: Assist the Branch Manager in leading the annual budgeting process, ensuring all departments submit their budgets on time. Prepare the consolidated company budget based on the finance forecast created by the Branch Manager, submitting it for approval by the deadline.
- Support for Business Strategy: Provide financial insights that contribute to strategic decision-making, including evaluating new business opportunities or investments.
- Cost-Benefit Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis for major capital expenditures or strategic initiatives.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Maintain effective communication and provide financial support to other departments, measured through feedback or service level agreement (SLA) metrics.
- Accuracy in Daily Payments: Process daily payments accurately in accordance with company regulations.
- Record Keeping in Xero: Ensure all daily payments are recorded accurately in Xero.
- Timeliness and Accuracy of Tax Reporting: Pay and report monthly and annual taxes accurately and on time
