Job Purpose

Responsible for ensuring Regulatory and Operational IT functions are in accordance with relevant laws and regulatory guidelines, fostering a strong compliance culture in the Bank’s overall environment and ensuring operations within regulatory compliance.

Job Description

1. IT Compliance Advisory

• Provide advisory services on IT compliance related to regulatory and operational requirements.
• Participate in IT project/ task force as advisor or reference point and serves as a key point of reference for the business unit (BU) and stakeholders in relation to regulatory guidelines.
• Act as liaison officer between bank and regulatory bodies, banking associations, and authorities. Respond to inquiries from internal and external parties to ensure alignment with compliance expectations and deliverables.

1. IT Compliance Reviewer

• Develop annual compliance review plan for the IT domain, encompassing regulatory policy documents, CRR, and upcoming regulatory requirements.
• Conduct an independent IT compliance review to ensure IT adhere to applicable compliance criteria and required standards.
• Follow up on the action plan according to compliance findings in the review activities.

1. Independent IT Compliance Assessor

• Perform an independent assessment on IT and Digital proposal/concept paper signoff prior submission to the Management Committee and BNM submission (where necessary).
• Ensure proposed concept adherence to internal and external policy guideline.

1. Administration

• Ensure the Compliance Risk Control repository is consistently updated.
• Prepare/facilitate internal and external reporting to Management, Board and regulators (where applicable).

Other requirement

Capability in overseeing cybersecurity domain to mitigate technology-related risks will add significant value.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor/ Degree in any IT discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field such as Compliance, Audit, Risk Management, or IT is required for this position.
• Relevant Compliance, AML, Audit and Risk-related Certifications and /or any other relevant certification with regard to Compliance from the Asia Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) is considered an added advantage.
• Relevant IT certification and Project Management Professional (PMP) from recognized bodies, foundations i.e. ITIL, Prince2, TOGAF is an added advantage.
• Experience in banking operations regulatory compliance, operational compliance, IT or product knowledge is an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Premises & Facilities Management

• Oversee all maintenance and repair of Mechanical and Electrical and Civil works or and services including lifts, gen-sets and etc, perform preventative maintenance work, determinesystem problems and make recommendations for repair, review and evaluate the qualityof vendor work.
• Supervise all the service contractors/vendors employed by the developer or RMM to ensure that work done as per contract.
• Assist Assistant Building Manager to plan, schedule and coordinate monthly or bi-monthly meetings with all appointed vendorsin relation to operations and administrations.

• Oversee buildinglighting system including parking street lights and landscaping; installand repair or replace as and when required
• Assist Assistant Building Manager in liaising with local authorities for inspections and licencing (lifts, firefighting system and etc)

Job Requirements:

• Certificate in Electrical / Mechanical or equivalent and or
• 2 years experience in various scope of property management & building facilities.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Head of IT Operations will lead the development and implementation of IT operations strategies and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with the overall Group IT strategic plans. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Tune Protect Malaysia leadership team, the incumbent will ensure IT services effectively address business needs while maintaining operational excellence and mitigating risks related to IT landscapes. This role requires a strong understanding of the technology landscape, the ability to foster stakeholder relationships, and a focus on security, business continuity, and operational excellence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy & Leadership

• Provide leadership to the IT Operations unit, fostering a culture of business orientation and continuous service improvement.
• Develop and execute IT operations strategies and roadmaps aligned with Group IT and enterprise strategic plans.
• Control annual operating and capital expenditure budgets (Capex/Opex)
• Support the business in driving customer-centric initiatives for good customer engagement and experience.

IT Service Management

• Ensure smooth transition and ongoing support for the core system migration to go-live and post-go-live phases.
• Oversee IT end-user services, core system operations and IT service management
• Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and operating level agreements (OLAs) across Tune Protect entities are met consistently
• Lead IT service management initiatives and develop IT scorecards for senior management reviews

Risk & Security

• Identify, assess, and communicate risks related to the IT landscape
• Ensure effective application of security, risk management, and business continuity principles
• Address and resolve findings from internal and external IT audits (e.g., EY, KPMG) to achieve timely closure

Partner and Vendor Engagement

• Develop IT vendor management processes and governance frameworks.
• Enhance engagement with strategic partners and suppliers through effective partner governance.
• Foster collaborative partnerships to improve service delivery and operational efficiency

Performance and Governance

• Measure and ensure operational services and performance using consistent and accurate metrics.
• Align IT initiatives with the long-term and annual business plans of the organization.
• Support the rollout of security and quality assurance initiatives.
• Maintain close coordination with audit, product, and technology teams to drive improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of versatile experience in IT Application Operations, with a preference for candidates from financial institutions, though not mandatory.
• Proven experience in managing and implementing modern technologies, including:

• Strong understanding of software development processes, IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
• Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, DevOps) and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with data analysis and familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, SQL, or BI software is a plus.
• Proficiency in software development with expertise in Java, Bootstrap, Framework 4.0, jQuery, Visual Basic, HTML, and ASP Classic is a plus.
