Role Summary:

This position is responsible for all aspects of accounting and tax operations, including the development and maintenance of accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. About the hiring company

This company,a subsidiary of a public listed company, is a forward looking organization specializing in business travel support services. They have been in the business of providing quality chauffeured limousine services and hire-and-drive car rental for over three decades in Malaysia. Currently they are looking for accounting qualified candidates to become part of the Finance team to manage the functions of accounting and finance of the organization at Bandar Bukit Jalil in the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur. 

The job role

This role is full time permanent position reporting to Accountant within the Finance Department.

The incumbent will support the Accountant in the day-to-day accounting functions in the Finance Department. Main responsibilities will be to manage the accounting functions and preparation of financial and management reporting.

Key duties:

*Production of month end management accounts including P&L,balance sheet and cash flow forecasting.

*Management of accruals, prepayments, depreciation and petty cash month journals.

*Reconciliation of monthly key ledger balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.

*Maintain accounting records and database.

Requirements: Candidate Profile and attributes

We are looking for Malaysian candidate in age group 28-45. The candidate must possess minimum LCCI Diploma qualification in Accounting or at best a Bachelor degree or part qualified ACCA/CIMA.

To be considered for this role, candidates must be proficient in spoken and written English plus conversant in BM and Mandarin and very importantly willing and able to work at Bakit Jalil area.

Company background: Manufacturing

1)Fully in charge of handling bank accounts including bank reconciliation and managing the local and foreign account.

2) Analyze and prepare monthly forecast report on the company cash movement. 3)Preparing and monitoring budget for each department

4)Fully in charge of monitoring the company cash flow and ensuring the cash is sufficient for operating expenses.

5)Fully in charge of Account Payable including preparing the monthly Ageing Report and creditor reconciliation.

6)Prepare the payment listing for the local and foreign supplier to ensure all the payments can be made as scheduled.

7)Fully in charge of monitoring the Account Receivable and assisting the subordinate to ensure all payment receives as per scheduled.

8)Fully in charge of monitoring and checking the entire invoice to ensure the entire invoice input correctly and precisely.

9)Prepare all preliminary work in closing monthly management report and liaise with other department in compile and record closing document.

10)Assist on preparation of periodical management accounts, cash flow planning, financial analysis, and report to top management.

11)Prepare schedule and report for year-end Audit and Tax Computation.

12)Fully in charge of the tax queries by the tax agent on expenses and payable items.

13)Work closely with other departments in performing company sales, purchasing and other financial reporting activities.

14)Coordinate twice a year stock internal stock take activity.

15)Assist external auditors in performing annual stock take evaluation and present annual management account to prepare Audited financial statement

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible to supervise, guide and coaching the accounts personnel
• Ensure that all month end closing deadline is met and timely submission of relevant reports
• Perform checking accounting entries, journal voucher and review of monthly accounts prepared by subordinate.
• Preparation of year-end audit and tax schedules, liaise with company auditors, tax agent on all statutory matters.
• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with all financial and accounting reporting as imposed by all relevant regulatory bodies.
• Reporting and presenting accurate and timely financial information in accordance to MFRS, group policies, legal and regulatory compliance imposed by all relevant regulatory bodies.
• Proactively assess the financial implications prior to the adoption of effective accounting standards.
• Responsible to liaise with auditors, tax agents, regulatory bodies and any relevant parties.
• Any other ad-hoc assignment as assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements:

• Must possess at least a recognised degree and/or professional qualification in accounting (ACCA/CIMA/MIA or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of related experience. Experience in property development industry will have an added advantage.
• Technically strong in accounting standards and system and internal control.
• Knowledge in property365 (IFCA.net) will be an added advantage
• Well verse in Microsoft Office software
• Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia – both verbal & written
• A team player with high level of integrity, meticulous and proven analytical problem-solving skills.
• Mature, self-motivated and able to work independently with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess a good supervisory, planning, organizing and leadership skills.
• Committed, dynamic, enthusiastic and able to work under pressure.
