The role
You will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations for MY and contributing to the growth of the MY Accounting and Finance function, and reporting directly to the Assistant Finance Manager. You will not only ensure the timely and preparation of key reports but also deep dive into the business's profitability and key issues. It’s a unique role where you’ll be working in the dual field of accounting (the past) and finance (the future) to tell a meaningful story that helps the day-to-day decision making process.
You should have/ be
- A passion for all things accounting and finance
- A genuine interest in the retail industry and/or e-commerce
- An ability to think & work strategically and systematically -- continously prioritizing key deliverables
- Analytical and inquisitive - loves how numbers and data tell a story, and delivering valuable insights to other departments
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think out of the box with solutions that are scalable, sustainable and cost-efficient
- A strong self starter with good initiative and a hands-on attitude to get things done!
- Strong project management, multitasking and execution abilities
- Strong communication skills to inspire and influence internal stakeholders (HQ or Markets)
- A charismatic, trustworthy and relatable team player
- Extremely meticulous to a fault!
Main responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Task owner of Online AR Matters: daily reconciliation of receipts between payment processors and the accounting system for the Love Bonito group of entities
- Investigating discrepancies between systems and reporting on missing AR related transactions
- Collaborating with Customer Service/Operational team(s) to address inquiries and handle exceptional cases
- Preparation of receivables and customer aging schedules monthly for review
- Review, creation and maintenance of Business Partners within accounting system in accordance with group policies and procedures
- Other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time
Qualifications & Experience
- Up to 1 -2 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Proficiency with SAP Business One, MS Office and Google Sheets/Forms management
- Proficient in verbal and written English & Bahasa
- Charming and positive disposition, self-starter attitude, with an ability to communicate effectively with people of all levels
- Willing to learn and adapt to a fast paced, fast-changing environment
- Experience in SQL and SAP B1 will be an advantage
