This post is a key position in the general management structure in the division providing support to the Divisional Director and Divisional Director of Operations for Surgery, Anaesthetics, Critical Care and Associate Services (SACCAS).

Reporting to the Divisional Director of Operations, the General Manager will be responsible for the operational leadership, delivery and performance of services in line with expected objectives, Policies and governance processes for service and clinical quality, business planning, financial (Income & Expenditure) plans and budget management. The GM will have identified delegated responsibility for operational management of services, ensuring the effective implementation of national and local strategies and the delivery of service objectives within available resources on all sites (both within and outside the trust) within the remit of the division.

The General Manager will work with other Divisional leaders to provide leadership and direction for the division ensuring that this supports the Trust’s strategic vision for high quality patient-centred care, and excellence in education and research. The candidate will ensure that effective management and delivery underpins the leadership of the division and that the Divisional Director is supported to ensure that leadership decisions are translated into transforming and delivery of services.

OPERATIONAL PLANNING AND DELIVERY
• • To be responsible for the operational management of all services within the division, through the divisional director, on behalf of the trust.
• Work closely with internal teams to devise systems proactively to manage service demands and ensure that these are fully implemented.
• Initiate regular review of services within the division and work with the divisional director to ensure new developments are appropriately resourced through the business planning process.
• Monitor activity in relation to agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) as and national access targets and implement immediate corrective action in relation to any significant under/ over-performance.

North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust is a medium sized District General Hospital based in Edmonton in Enfield, North London. We serve a diverse multicultural population largely from the London boroughs of Enfield and Haringey. DELIVERY OF SAFE, HIGH QUALITY PATIENT CARE

The post holder will listen and take action to address concerns identified through a range of tools including the annual patient survey, real time patient feedback systems, PALs and formal complaints, providing regular feedback to patients, parents and staff on action taken with training and support for staff where appropriate.
4. Work closely with and empower clinicians to achieve optimal decisions for overall patient care.
5. Support clinicians to build pathways that are patient-centred and working with patients as partners in the delivery of excellent healthcare.
6. Promote and supporting the delivery of national and local healthcare standards as one of the ways of raising healthcare standards for all.
7. Utilise benchmarked data to compare performance with similar organisations to ensure continuous improvement and service development.
8. Be responsible for ensuring that the Division’s complaints process complies with national standards. Communicate sensitive and often contentious information to patients, families and staff, including chairing local resolution meetings as required.

The successful candidate will undertake both trauma and elective work, joining along with 9x Consultants, 2x Associate Specialists, 9x Specialty Doctors, 3x Specialist Registrars, 4x Foundation Year 2's, 4x Trust Doctors , and 2x Foundation Year 1 Doctors.
The post holder will be expected to provide Registrar grade cover on a rotational shift basis throughout general surgery; and, participate in the on-call registrar rota. Expected to supervise the FY1s in service delivery, inpatients, and day services. And, provide a rapid response to A&E to facilitate the 4 hour trolley-wait target – during the on call shift will be available solely for emergency duties.
The department is a well-functioning and cohesive unit that provides essential services to the local population consistent with its location in a District General Hospital. There is an approximate 50:50 split between Trauma and Elective work. The hospital does not receive multiple or serious trauma cases as those are moved directly to the specialised trauma centres in the Trauma network. We see approximately 150 fracture necks of femur and the majority of our remaining trauma work comprises isolated femoral, tibial, forearm, upper arm and ankle fractures. The department refers suspected tumours to the Unit at RNOH, Stanmore. Spinal problems with neural issues are referred to the Royal London. We work closely with our Radiology colleagues through weekly MDTs on Wednesdays (1230).

Job Purpose:

Support the Project Management to work with Design, Delivery, and other disciplines (incl. 3rd parties). You will prepare, update, and maintain project schedules. Principal Accountabilities

• Lead the Weekly Resource Meetings and assist Project Managers, Lead Operational Engineers and subcontractors have works aligned with the respective project schedules.

Qualifications:

• Engineering-based degree or equivalent, Project Management qualification such as APMP or Prince2 is highly desirable.

Skills and Experience:

• Planning experience on Major Construction Projects
• Experience using Primavera P6 on complex construction programmes
• Experience of NEC3 contractual processes and programme administration
• Experience maintaining programme performance baselines and their utilisation in generating earned value-based report management

The successful candidate will join a friendly and dynamic team delivering scientific and technical support and radiation safety services to ICHNT and a number of external organisations.

The post holder is expected to be a registered HCPC clinical scientist who will play a key role in procurement, acceptance, commissioning, optimisation and routine quality assurance of x-ray diagnostic equipment. They will provide MPE support in Diagnostic Radiology and contribute to the development and optimisation of examination protocols, providing compliance with IRMER legislation. It would be advantageous if the applicant also has some teaching experience as they will be supporting STP training and might be lecturing at MSc level.


• To act as the Senior Radiological Physicist for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and other trusts covered by Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• To be responsible for the development and provision of highly complex and specialised radiological physics support and scientific and technical expertise to the trust and SLA customers.
• To act as the Medical Physics Expert for specified areas of work for the Trust and the Service Level Agreement customers.
• To deputise for the RPAs as appropriate.
• To maintain records of all QA tests and procedures within databases, for the trust and SLA customers.
• To plan, organise and implement integrated computer information systems for handling, analysing and interpreting QA data and provide specialist expertise in the analysis of such data.
• To teach and train members of staff and update local policies to ensure the safety of patients and staff regarding the use of x-rays.
• To implement and maintain systems for radiographer Quality Assurance
• To participate in Research & Development projects in Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and at SLA customers.
• To participate in teaching, training, research and development activities within Radiological Sciences Unit (including MSc teaching and training of Clinical Scientists on the National Training Scheme)

This post is based in the Infectious diseases ward at St Mary’s Hospital. This is a 100% clinical Fellowship post. The post is for 6 months from February 2025, and a further 6 months from August 2025, or if preferred one candidate could hold the post for 1 year.

The fellowship is suitable for doctors with SHO experience, who are looking to pursue a career in Infectious Diseases, Microbiology or Virology.

The post holder will work in collaboration with an IMT1 (GIM) doctor to provide ward cover on the Infectious Diseases ward. This will include providing excellent care for inpatients and ambulatory care reviews, including ward rounds, ward work (reviewing patients, ordering and reviewing investigations), clinics and MDTs. The post holder would be expected to actively participate in departmental activities, including teaching, audit, quality improvement activities and presentation at internal clinical seminars. There is a specialist registrar and IMT3 (GIM) doctor working in the team as well as a consultant for the month. This post will provide a general training in Infectious Diseases.

The post holder will have the opportunity to develop relevant generic skills including leadership, teaching, and communication and managing workload effectively. They will ensure excellent care of patients and ensure collaborative working within the MDT.

We are looking for an ambitious and dedicated individual, who would form an integral part of the Dermatology Team. The post is aimed at IMT2s and the timetable is equivalent to that of an ST3 trainee in dermatology. The post provides an excellent opportunity to acquire general skills for those planning a career in dermatology, either via the Specialty Training route or via the CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route.



This is a busy department, with outpatient activity including General Dermatology and Skin Cancer clinics; specialist clinics at the Charing Cross Hospital site include Hair, Eczema, Hidradenitis suppurativa, and Complex Skin Cancer. A complex Medical Dermatology clinic runs monthly (virtual).



This is a highly competitive post attracting a high volume of applications. Candidates must have GMC registration, NHS experience, IMT2 experience and thorough knowledge of Internal Medicine, Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), and ability to demonstrate commitment to Dermatology as a specialty. Main Responsibilities
