FM Conway is looking to recruit a Supervisor to join our Street Lighting division based in London. As a Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring works carried out by your team is safe and to a high standard whilst keeping records up to date and supporting your team with their individual career development. You will join us of a full-time, permanent basis, working on site for contracts in various London Boroughs.
The duties of the Supervisor role will include:
- Assisting operatives registering under HERs, ensuring they have received the required onsite assessments and ensuring they are classed as competent
- Delivering toolbox talks, safety alerts, daily briefings, safety tours and near miss reports are completed
- Supervising electrical & excavational works and mitigating any risks to the operatives and those affected by the works being undertaken
- Carrying out the minimum of two site inspection surveys and two quality control inspections each month ensuring compliance and standards are adhered to and maintained
- Ensuring operatives receive daily briefings, detailed drawings and statutory plans before any works are undertaken
- Conducting operative appraisals, personal development reviews and disciplinary investigations
What skills and experience do you need?
We are seeking an experienced Supervisor with knowledge of street lighting and highways sector. You will hold a SSSTS or NRSWA Supervisor qualifications and possess strong management skills, with a ‘leading by example’ approach, setting the standard for the rest of the team. Strong stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and a focus on quality is essential. Travel to other company locations will be required therefore, you must possess a full UK driving license.
