• Duties will include food preparation and handling, customer service, till use and Stock kitchen duties, you will be working as a 2 person team to provide a food service
• Keep the kitchen and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state at all times.
• Provide a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers.
• Ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service

You will assist the Catering Supervisors and Management in all aspects of food service, including taking payment for food and drinks and cleaning equipment as required.

Alongside this, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining excellent stock control skills and carry out and record any checks required on behalf of Management or Catering Supervisors.

Job Description

As a Kitchenette / Catering Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation in the self- service areas. You will be responsible for restocking and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards and providing excellent customer service to users.

Main Responsibilities

• Restock self service area with food, snacks, and beverages according to inventory levels and client preferences.
• Monitor self service areas for cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring they always meet health and safety standards.
• Perform routine Cleaning such as cleaning coffee machine.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, and stock taking.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service to users, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints.
• Always represent the company in a professional manner, maintaining a positive and approachable demeanor with clients and customers.
• Assist with other catering duties and tasks as assigned by supervisors
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of catering events as needed, including transporting tea and coffee supplies to event locations.
• Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Log any maintenance or repair needs with the facilities team, including issues with coffee machines and other appliances.

Hospitality

• To assist in providing an excellent standard of customer service.
• To set up meeting rooms and dining rooms as required for service.
• To set up events and bespoke meetings as required for service.
• To serve all food with the correct equipment and present it well.
• To prepare and deliver beverages and hospitality treats prior to meetings start, according to the booking platform.
• To clear the rooms in a timely manner, according to the food safety regulations.
• To follow guidelines for allergen management controls.
• To have a positive, open and helpful attitude towards customers.
• To seek appropriate/necessary knowledge of all food items served throughout the Hospitality area
• To always keep the kitchen and Hospitality areas clean and tidy.

Other Responsibilities

• Support Client Services tasks as needed, which may include covering for staff shortages, sickness, or holidays

• Where required ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service

Waiter/Hospitality Assistant, will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our services. Primary responsibility will be to provide excellent customer service and support to our clients and guests during various meetings and events. Ensuring meeting, dining rooms and events spaces are set to the required specification and food and beverages are served in a professional and timely fashion.

Waiter / Hospitality Assistant will build a good rapport with the clients, understanding the brief and learn personal preferences. With the focus on professionalism and friendliness, they will provide attentive service while upholding the highest standards.

Our services are offered Monday to Friday, mainly during daytime hours, with occasional evening events. Therefore, flexibility to work some evenings when needed is desirable.

• Provide friendly, professional and prompt customer service to clients and guests, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
• Prepare meeting rooms/ dining rooms and events catering set ups with attention to detail.
• Serve variety of beverages, breakfasts, lunches, as well as dinners or canapes, when occasional evening events are booked, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest enquiries, requests, and concerns, providing necessary information in a professional manner.
• Collaborate effectively with other team members in hospitality, kitchen and reception to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of services.
• Clear and reset meeting/dining rooms/ events spaces promptly and efficiently.
• Wash and polish glassware, crockery and cutlery.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pantry and service areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory control, including monitoring stock levels, replenishing supplies, and reporting any discrepancies or shortages.

Working in a Team of 2 providing lunch service to approx 150 staff
