The Analytic Transformation & Governance team is the central pillar for propelling a rapid transformation within the recently formed Commercial Analytics & AI (CAAI) organization at Pfizer. This organization is made up of various functional areas including Insight Strategy & Execution, Market Research Insights, Data Science and AI, and Analytic Engineering. ROLE SUMMARY
The Technical Data Product Manager (TDPM) for Analytics Capabilities plays a critical role in driving the development, prioritization and growth of analytics capabilities within the Commercial Analytics and AI organization. They are responsible for interfacing with the business to gather data feature requirements, translating business and feature requirements into technical requirements for the Analytics Engineering teams, ensuring the delivery of valuable insights and actionable recommendations through scalable data products and solutions. The TDPM will collaborate with the CAE engineering leadership team on strategy and planning for feature delivery, data architecture solutions, and roll-out and communication of analytics data capabilities that scale horizontally across reporting capabilities and data domains.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Plan:
- Collaborate with CAE engineering leadership to define and communicate a clear vision for the analytics data capabilities roadmap, aligning with business goals to drive the adoption and utilization of data products.
- Identify and understand the specific audience or stakeholders who will benefit from the capabilities through contextual inquiry, interviews, journey mapping exercises, and other research techniques.
- Conduct assessments, gather requirements, and define necessary features and functionality horizontally across common data sets as relevant to commercialization/marketing of pharmaceutical products.
- Collaborate with CAE engineering leadership to create feature roadmaps that outline the strategic direction, priorities, and timeline for development of data products.
- Identify new data sources that accelerate business stakeholder decision making capabilities
- Work across stakeholders to align on priorities considering factors such as benefit, effort, cost and time to value.
Development Life Cycle:
- Define and track progress on key milestones and deliverables throughout the development life cycle.
- Act as a guide and advocate, ensuring alignment with the data product vision.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements and stories for Analytics Engineering
- Work with Data governance and CAE data architecture to align business requirements with data standards.
- Work directly with content engineering leads to hand off technical requirements and ensure clear transition to development teams.
Communication:
- Establish a cadence of updates and feedback sessions with key stakeholders.
- Develop a rollout schedule and deliver training sessions for effective utilization of data capabilities to business stake holders, data scientists, and data engineers alike.
- Establish support mechanisms and channels to address user queries and maximize value.
- Act as subject matter expert in various pharmaceutical commercialization data domains.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ Years experience in data product management or algorithm design/development, with at least 10 years of experience in SQL and relational databases.
- BA or Masters in Computer Science or Engineering, Data Science or equivalent work relevant work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in Technical Product Management and agile software delivery practice.
- Deep understanding of data processing for data science and analytics purposes, data management and design/architecture, and data product scalability techniques.
- At least 10 years of experience in writing/designing business and technical specifications for analytic data product purposes.
- Strong ability to bridge the gap between technical and business needs.
- Proven track record in developing, executing, and delivering data product strategies and roadmaps within an agile development framework.
- Knowledge of Sales and Marketing organizations and their analytics needs.
- At least 5 years of experience with healthcare data and exposure to healthcare data architecture is required.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills and ability to connect with both technical and business audiences.
- Ability to make product-related decisions and define metrics and KPIs based on business use cases.
- Experience with Atlassian products including Confluence and JIRA.
- Collaboration and teamwork skills to foster a culture of collaboration.
- Proven accountability in reporting progress, challenges, and opportunities to stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, data science, information systems, or a related discipline.
- Direct experience with Marketing and Sales Data within the BioPharma industry
- Strong understanding of data management principles, data processing, and data analytics.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.
- Knowledge of data integration, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data governance.
- Understanding of cloud and big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Technical Product Manager certification, AWS Solutions Architect certification, Lean certification, Scrum Master certification or similar raise the bar for a candidate.
- Working background in data science, data engineering, statistics, or similar.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
