Job Description:
SLB is currently looking for Wireline Operators, Expert Operators and Crew Chiefs experienced in Reservoir Evaluation and Mechanical intervention services with expertise of servicing relevant tools at wellsite. The Wireline Operators & Crew Chiefs perform such duties as required in the servicing of oil and gas wells and the maintenance and repair of service units and tools. Successful Position holders are excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems, and work well in teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Operating Wireline winch unit; "zeros" tools & monitors tension meter, cable speed, depth & spooling of cable; understands depth control & weight indicator systems; uses all winch cable safety controls
• Prepares the well for service operations, aligns logging unit, installs sheave wheel, threads cable, & connects multiple tools as required
• Perform servicing on logging unit
• Selects, loads & unloads required tools and corresponding surface instrumentation for the job
• Assists the Engineer in maintenance checks of tools and equipment
• Assists the Engineer in handling explosives, radiation and hazardous materials
• Participates in inspecting, maintaining & repairing primary tools, service units, & equipment according to the RITE
• Services, maintains & assists in marking cables
• Builds bridles, rope sockets and heads
• Identifies the surface instrumentation, tools, & associated equipment required to run each service
• Able to service WHE10K on the field and change pumps on control panel
• Prepare reservoir sampling tool (MDT) prior to the job & service between the runs
• Performs other duties as assigned by direct supervisor
• Attends & participates in safety meetings, wear PPE, observe HSE policies, maintain safety training
• Keeps & maintains time sheets, DGs forms current and accurate
• Keeps up to date on >90% of NEST requirements
• Performs tool TRIM & front end maintenance of tools, mainly for MDT/MSCT
• Assist in tool calibration
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Reside in Australia and have the full right to live and work in Australia including offshore
• No travel restrictions and open to relocation in Australia
• High School education or equivalent
• Evaluation of at least "Satisfactory" on the SLB Operator section of TOPS
• 5 years as Wireline Crew Chief and total of at least 10 years industry related experience desired
• Able to operate and handle Explosives, Radiation and Pressure
• Able to prepare MDT prior to the job & service them between the runs
• Able to service WHE10K on the field & change pumps on control panel
• Able to service MSCT & prepare for jobs
• Experience in accurately meeting predetermined specifications
• Understand basic use of Volt/ Amp meter
• Have a valid open class unrestricted HR/HC/MC driver’s licence is desirable
• Good English written & verbal communication

Salary range for this job is: $86,680 to $98,500
