As a Platform Owner for EUC, you will be accountable for the day to day operations of our End User Compute platforms which underpin the operations of Cadent as well as provide technical support to resolve incidents and problems on a 24x7x365 basis for 7000 people.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the ART End User Compute platforms strategy and roadmap covering enterprise tools, infrastructure, client devices, and security for the health of services, delivering regular patching and maintenance, hardware refresh and software upgrades (where required) to maintain supportability. Along with product/platform development and integration to meet user requirements and ensuring the delivery of an evergreen roadmap aligned to strategy.
- Directly and indirectly manage up-to 8 direct reports
- Champion user-centric design principles to ensure an intuitive and seamless experience for all platform users.
- Work closely with the IAM platform owner and ensure the security and health of services, regular patching and maintenance, hardware refresh and software upgrades (where required) are delivered to maintain supportability.
- Ensure that the platforms comply with relevant industry standards and regulations and maintains a strong focus on data security, privacy, and cyber requirements.
- Accountable for budget management and tracking costs for support, maintenance, and delivery across products/platforms.
- Identify potential risks and challenges related to the platform's development and operation and develop mitigation plans.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Product/Platform Owners across ARTs/teams to ensure successful delivery of cross-roadmap activities and dependencies. Prioritise initiatives based on business impact, technical feasibility, and customer value.
- Take ownership of the platform's backlog, define user stories, prioritise work, deliver maximum value & realise business outcomes. Work across all ARTs to ensure timely delivery of enabler features & enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, including product/platform managers, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to gather input, prioritise features and ensure the platforms meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
- Accountable for maintaining and safeguarding the security and safety of the Digital Enterprise Platforms in line with the Security Policies and Standards.
Skills and Experience
- Experience with agile development methodologies, inc. SAFe and the role of a Product/Platform Owner.
- Proficient in the use of Atlassian products: Jira and Confluence and integrated products such as Miro.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of platform ownership and delivery.
- Hands-on experience of leading agile delivery with mixed teams of in-house and external developers/engineers.
- Experience of successfully building, leading and motivating multi-disciplinary in-house technical teams.
- Strong experience in a second/ third line support role in a medium to large company, with significant technical delivery/support responsibility.
- Team management and technology experience supporting 24x7 infrastructure services
- Experience managing teams delivering infrastructure, networking, ISS and CNI support
Technical knowledge or qualifications desirable in the following areas:
- Microsoft Intune, Entra ID and Windows Autopilot.
- On premise Active Directory and certificate services.
- Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
- Windows 10/Windows 11.
- Microsoft Defender
- Packaging tools and client software management and maintenance.
