This position serves as the Deputy Psychologist Program Manager for the Specialty Mental Health Clinic BHIP Teams (MHC). The Psychologist Program Manager is expected to provide assigned psychological services within the Mental Health Service for MH patients; and to be responsible for the clinical and administrative supervision of all BHIP LIPs (Psychiatrists, APRNs, Psychologists, Social Workers, LMHCs) at the facility Community-Based Outpatient Clinics, located in Clermont, Deltona, Kissimmee, and Tavares. The Deputy Psychologist Program Manager works closely with the local BHIP Primary Program Manager, and has direct line authority and is accountable for aspects of the clinical care and support services provided to Veteran in the BHIP program at a specific location. In addition to providing direct patient care, this psychologist has substantial administrative/managerial, supervisory and training responsibilities. The BHIP Program Manager provides comprehensive psychiatric care to Veterans referred for Mental Health services within the Psychiatrist's approved privileges. In addition to Veteran care, the Psychiatrist may have responsibilities in other areas such as education and research.

• Provide psychiatric care in an outpatient setting, identifying Veterans' mental and medical health needs and designing diagnostic and therapeutic plans to meet these needs.

The Community Care (CC) Case Manager Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for executing a streamlined approach to receiving, triaging, and directing timely, coordinated care. The nurse demonstrates proficient practice and decision-making, deliberate planning, and critical thinking skills. The CC Case Manager possesses intimate knowledge of the internal referral care process, clinical review criteria, utilization management standards, clinical documentation requirements, community care regulations, and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) standards and guidelines. The CC Case Manager uses nursing knowledge and systems theory to assess, organize, facilitate, and guide Veterans through their full range of care options including internal/direct care in Veterans Affairs (VA) and care in the community. Assisting the Home Care Program Director in:

• Directing the clinical services offered by the program to ensure that the program is in compliance with local and national VHA standards and policies as well as accreditation standards for home care organizations.
• The development and continued effective functioning of the interdisciplinary health care team. The APD/NM recognizes and effectively utilizes the skills, knowledge, and contributions of each team member.
• Collaborating with other HBPC Program Directors, MFH Programs, VDC Programs, Home Care leadership team, VISN leadership, and VA Central Office staff on issues of program development and operation.
• Providing direction and team leadership to include:
• Communicating VA policies to the Home Care/HBPC team, VA medical facility staff, Patient Aligned Care Teams, and non-VA entities.
