The Head of Procurement will operate at a strategic level, engaging senior business representatives to set strategy and lead a team of circa 20 procurement professionals to provide effective commercial advice, procurement delivery and contract management oversight. The location for this role is flexible and can be based at Risley, Preston or Workington.

Main Responsibilities for Head of Procurement:

Essential Criteria for Head of Procurement:

Joining our IT Asset Management Team (ITAM), you will be supporting the management of Software and Hardware on the DWP estate - the largest in UK government.

Our successful candidate will lead the academy attendance team in providing operational and administrative support to promote whole academy attendance strategies, to improve attendance and persistent absence in line with academy targets, will help parents/carers to improve their children’s attendance thus improving their access to learning, enabling all children and young people to maximise their educational opportunities, will oversee staff cover within the academy, and will line manage the Cover Supervisors within the academy.

EXPERIENCE:
• Working within a similar setting bringing a wealth of knowledge in dementia and elderly care whilst having you NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care
• Experience of managing and leading a team as well as completing supervisions and appraisals
• Have a clear understanding of medication including managing the receipt of medications into the home

MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Leading and managing a team throughout the night, including leading nightly meetings, providing positive feedback to the staff and being a role model for the staff within the home
• Managing night rotas to ensure these are fully staffed and there is a good skill mix
