This post will be part of our 15th cohort of Trainee Nursing Associate Apprentices, working in partnership The University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) / The University of Cumbria.

This post is an apprenticeship post which will see you develop to a NMC registered Nursing Associate, completing a 2 year foundation degree training programme. The course is fully funded.

As a trainee you will be based within clinical practice for the duration of the programme and will have study leave to attend University. You will rotate through different services within your speciality / service area (where applicable) and undertake block placements outside of your normal place of work, to gain a breadth of experience and skills.

The Eating Disorders Teams are made up of lots of different people, who have different roles or responsibilities, such as Dieticians, Psychologists and therapists, Specialist Nurses and Specialist GP’s, now expanding to Nursing Associates also.

Travel is required so you must be able to fulfil the essential travel requirements whilst on placement. You could be expected to travel up to 90 minutes each way to placement and work shifts and weekends.

You will need to demonstrate an understanding of mental healthcare and the role of a Nursing Associate and show evidence of being an effective communicator with the people you care for, their families and carers, as well as your colleagues and superiors.

You will need to be prepared to work hard and undertake study in your own time while on the programme; learning the fundamentals of exceptional care and developing your depth of knowledge around important aspects of both physical and mental health.

Please be advised if you are a ‘Non-UK National’ applicant you must meet the eligibility criteria and fulfil the settlement requirements of the apprenticeship course funding. Your settlement status will need to be verified as eligible for funding by the relevant apprenticeship provider in order for you to formally enrol on the course.

For internal candidates you will need to have agreement from your manager to apply for this post, which will be verified if successful. As you will be on a Trust secondment contract, in the event of needing to withdraw from the programme. On completion of the course you will be placed into a permanent band 4 Nursing Associate role within the Trust, however this may not be in your current work place. During training you will be paid a Band 3 and there will be an expectation to work 37.5 hours. If successful in securing a place on the course you WILL NOT be eligible for student finance.

Mower Power Ltd in Preston are recruiting for a Trainee Office Administrator. The successful candidate will work towards their Level 3 Business Administration qualification which will take approximately 18 months to complete.

Duties:
General admin duties including:
- Handling cash
- Customer service via the phone and face to face
- Assisting the directors, eg managing their diaries
- Organising and assisting at promotional events
- Updating the website

Requirements:
- Good telephone manner
- Numerically confident
- Honest
- Reliable

Grades:
There are no formal qualifications required.

Hours:
Monday - Friday 9am - 4:30pm, 35 hours per week. Half an hour Paid Lunch

Training and development;



The successful candidate will be given an opportunity to embark on a four-year Bachelor's Degree course with Open University which will be fully funded by Veolia. This will include a weekly day release to study, a week in the Summer to attend the Open University Campus and the full support and resources required to successfully complete this qualification.



Full internal training will also be provided in various aspects of site operations, including health and safety, environmental protection and waste regulations.



With many of our colleagues starting as trainees, you'll receive full support and guidance from everyone throughout.



By the end of your traineeship, you'll have received industry-standard training and attained qualifications that will enable you to progress and reach your full potential.



What you'll be doing;



- Work for the senior chemist in the hazardous waste transfer station.

- Analyse incoming material to the site for compliance against agreed waste specifications.

- Allocate recycling and disposal routes for incoming material, ensuring all legal requirements for environmental protection are complied with.

- Help to ensure the site and plant operates in a safe and compliant manner.



What we're looking for;



- A minimum of A-Level in Chemistry or equivalent.

- Willingness to travel with occasional short stays away from home

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Good time management and organisational skills

- Ability to work as part of a team

- Willingness to learn

- Passion in chemistry and science
