Serves as a training instructor in a vocational or occupational training program in the Education Department of a Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) correctional facility and may also serve as a program coordinator for other vocational/occupational training programs.

Selects and/or develops curriculums which focus on the appropriate vocational training area.

This position has direct responsibility for the delivery of classroom training for vocational and apprenticeship courses in the field/trade of Carpentry.

Develops a curriculum design and record-keeping system to organize and track student progress through identified course work.

Ensures the training program(s) are implemented and delivered in compliance with Bureau policies, Department of Labor, and Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training regulations, and the standards established by other certifying agencies and organizations.

Serve as apprenticeship program coordinator with responsibility for coordinating the various occupational training programs and classes, as well as responsibilities which include development, review and evaluation of the vocational trades program.

As part of thenationalTalking Therapies for Anxietyand Depression(previously known asIAPT)programme,theNorth LondonNHS Foundation Trust/ Camden and Islington NHS Talking Therapiesfor Anxiety and Depression (previously known as iCope)is recruiting suitable individuals for the role of Trainee High Intensity CBT Therapists.

This post will be fixed term for 12 months. We have three posts available in Islington and three in Camden.

Suitable applicants for these posts will be Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychiatric Nurses, SocialWorkersor Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. PWPs will need toevidencethat they haveattaineda minimum of two years full-time post-qualification experience to meet eligibility criteria. All applicants who do not have a BABCP recognised core profession must enter via the Knowledge, Skills & Attitudes (KSA) route,and must complete a portfolio of evidence as per KSA guidelines.


Applicants will need to demonstraterelevant experience in delivering psychological therapies to adult clients. A knowledge of CBT and primary care experience would also be desirable.


Therapists will demonstratepersonal qualities that make them suitable for the practice of Cognitive and BehaviouralTherapies.





Successful applicants will work in our Islington or CamdenNHS Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression (previously known as iCope) servicethreedays per week, seeing clients for psychological therapy.We are committed to providing an out of hours service,and the post holder willberequiredto work one evening per week (12-8pm).The post holder isexpected to work on site 100% of their working patter withsome opportunities to work from home as training progresses and by negotiation, aswellas in conjunction with service needs. On the other two days per week trainees will attend the training program that leads to a Post Graduate Diploma in CBT offered by Royal Holloway University of London. The trainingprogrammeis usually run in central London.

Trainee therapists will use Cognitive and/or Behavioural Therapy in line with the evidence base and NICE guidelines as their main therapeutic model.

The successful applicants will be highly motivated with the ability to organise and prioritise their own workload with experience of working inNHS Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression(previously known as IAPT)services or comparable professional settings.

You will be training on the Children and Young People’s Psychological Training: Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents Course (ITP-A) and carrying out clinical work within Hammersmith and Fulham CAMHS in West London NHS Trust to complement the studies with clinical work.Kindly see our Candidate Pack for further details.

This is a training position and so all candidates will need to apply for both the trainee role with H&F CAMHS and the UCL Post Graduate Diploma in Child and Young Person IAPT Therapy in order to be shortlisted.As this is a Postgraduate level training, you will be required to study and perform at academic level. This full-time training will begin in January 2025 with around 2.5 days a week for academic work (teaching and personal study), and 2.5 days based at the service seeing clients related to training assignments.

Trainees will be both an employee of the service and an enrolled student with UCL/Anna Freud. Upon completion, qualified trainees will receive a UCL Postgraduate Diploma.
