Financial Institution Interns will be assigned to the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP).  Interns will work directly on teams with experienced FDIC employees to evaluate FIDC-insured institutions' compliance with fair lending and consumer protection laws and regulations.  These teams are responsible for assessing financial institutions to determine whether they are maintaining effective controls and procedures, managing their institutions effectively, and complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to consumer protection, privacy, community reinvestment, and fair lending.

Under the direction and supervision of an Examiner or a higher grade team member, the incumbent will participate in and/or independently perform the following:

Assesses the adequacy and determines the strength of the Compliance Management System (senior management oversight; compliance program, including the elements of policies, monitoring, and training; and audit procedures) to ensure ongoing compliance as related to the particular regulation under review.  Conducts reviews and assessments of the following: 

• Examine initial disclosures, periodic statements, advertisements, and other information to evaluate procedures and reviews for compliance with applicable regulations.
• Examine closed-end non-real estate credit transactions for compliance with applicable regulations.
• Review the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act loan application register for accuracy and assesses the bank's overall reporting procedures.
• Review adverse action notices for compliance, and to gain a cursory exposure to applicable lending-related regulations.
• Examine a sample of residential, consumer, commercial and/or agricultural files to determine compliance with consumer laws and regulations.

Reviews applicable regulations and examination manual to become informed about the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).

Participates in discussing the overall examination process including evaluating the bank's Compliance Management System (senior management oversight; compliance program, including the elements of policies, monitoring, and training; and audit procedures).  Asks questions to gain clarification and understanding of examination policies and procedures.

• Observes the interactions between the FDIC and Bank personnel.
• Responds to questions from other examiners regarding his/her section of the Report of Examination.
• Reviews the CRA of an institution and participates in discussion for assigning its rating.
• Prepares a summary of each performance factor describing why rating was assigned.
• With the assistance of an experience examiner, participates in meetings as appropriate.
• After the meeting, asks questions and discusses exam findings with the examiner-in-charge or higher graded team member.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position will work under the supervision of the pharmacist. Performs routine duties in packaging, distribution and record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies. Assists in preparing compounded and intravenous medications, total parenteral nutrition products, and chemotherapeutic agents. Consistently demonstrates an ability to assess a situation, consider alternatives, and choose the appropriate course of action. May work with the Pharmacist in processing physician orders for medications by entering information in to the medication management system in an unverified status. Under the supervision of the pharmacist, assesses and formulates potential recommendations to physicians and provides information to physicians, nurses, and others regarding topics relating to the medication use system. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients being served.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Selects and/or prepares medications, under direct supervision, as indicated on the patient medication orders. Places medications in patient boxes or in designated area for pharmacist to review, sends/delivers medications to nursing units as required. Investigates missing medication requests Charges/credits patients for medications and intravenous solutions as appropriate. Restocks unused and credited returned medications.

2. Attends to customers and answers telephones in a courteous and timely manner. Serves as a liaison between the customer and the pharmacist.

3. Using automated dispensing technology or requisition, restocks medications to nursing and ancillary areas after checked by a pharmacist. Restocks medications to all areas outside automated dispensing technology which may include but not be limited to trays, code carts and emergency boxes. Adds users to the automatic dispensing technology database as per policy. Investigates discrepancies in automated dispensing technology. Troubleshoots automated technology malfunctions.

4. Identifies medications and other items for reorder as necessary to maintain a continuous inventory of medications and supplies. Receives, checks-in, and restocks medications ordered through wholesaler and other vendors.

5. Compounds specialty drug products. Repackages bulk medications into unit of use packaging. Completes accurate documentation of items compounded and repackaged.

6. Assists in preparing and labeling of intravenous medication orders including total parenteral nutrition products and chemotherapy products using proper sterile and aseptic technique.

7. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, utilizes education and pharmacy skills in assessing and formulating potential recommendations to physicians to help ensure quality and economical drug therapy, and positive patient outcomes. May provide information (under pharmacist supervision) to physicians, nurses, and others regarding medication therapy, medication systems, drug product guidelines, laws and regulations, medication formulary, and other topics related to the medication use system. Medication assessments may be performed with special consideration given to medication safety and the needs of the specific patient age groups served.

8. Performs quality control activities such as monthly nursing unit checks and pharmacy section checks in a timely manner. Completes documentation on refrigerator temperatures, intravenous hood cleaning, and equipment maintenance activities as required.

9. Participates in all aspects of medication use, including (1) selection, procurement and storage, (2) dispensing, (3) monitoring of all medications utilized. Internal customers may include Patients, Nurses, Licensed Independent Practitioners, Nursing Directors, Department Directors, Administrators and other health care team members for the purpose of integrating services, improving patient care and ensuring effective communication systems. External customers may include local, state, and national pharmacy organizations, Joint Commission, state Board of Pharmacy, colleagues and peers, educational institutions and pharmaceutical representatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be attending an accredited school of Pharmacy.

Requires current and unrestricted pharmacy intern licensure in the state of practice.

Incumbents in Arizona are also required to provide the AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card at time of hire.

Must possess good organizational, problem solving and computer skills. Must have good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with all levels of Staff, physicians, patients and other contacts. POSITION SUMMARY
This position actively participates on the healthcare team as a pharmacotherapy expert to provide quality patient care in area of specialty. Participates in the optimal selection of drug therapy and designs a regimen to maximize therapeutic benefit and minimize toxicity. Responsible for the delivery of pharmaceutical care to patients using the medication use process. Oversees the activities of the pharmacy technicians, coordinating workflow, and the checking of medications prior to being dispensed. Adheres to local, state, and federal laws regarding the profession of pharmacy practice.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Critically evaluates the management of disease states and adjusts or recommends adjustments to therapy to   improve patient medication regimens. Ensures appropriate and cost-effective medication therapy. Areas of focus may include but are not limited to evaluating disease state management, medication management, and adverse drug reactions. Adheres to all clinical practices approved by Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee/Clinical Consensus Group (e.g., collaborative practice agreements). Accurately and completely documents patient assessment data and clinical interventions.

2. Drug information expert in area of specialty and may act as a system resource. Provides detailed drug information and education to healthcare team, pharmacy, patients, and community. Provides education for pharmacy staff, students, and residents where applicable.

3. Reviews and evaluates medication orders for appropriateness and completeness with respect to patient data including age, height, weight, diagnosis, allergy, laboratory values and other pertinent patient information. Complies with directives of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee/Clinical Consensus Group (e.g. therapeutic substitutions, formulary management).

4. Applies the principles of continuous quality improvement consistent with job expectations. Incorporates quality improvement principles into other activities and facility/system-based projects (i.e. data collection, documentation, med error and adverse drug event trending). Participates in drug use evaluations and facility level medication safety oversight.

5. Participates in local and system-based committees (e.g. area of specialty or other related area) and effectively communicates to stakeholders. Participates in the development of innovative drug-related patient care practices in their specialty at both institutional and system level. Serves as a resource and mentor to other pharmacists, students, residents, and other health-care providers at both the facility and system level.

6. Meets ASHP preceptor qualifications. Participates as primary preceptor to residents where applicable. When needed, serves as the Program Director for the institution’s Pharmacy Practice Residency Program. Serves as an educator, resource expert, and mentor to other pharmacists, students, residents, and/or other healthcare providers.

7. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 

A Doctorate in Pharmacy degree and at minimum completion of a PGY1 residency program. Without residency training a minimum of 3 years of health-system progressive clinical pharmacy experience (evaluating disease state & medication management e.g. thromboembolic, diabetes, oncology, pharmacokinetics, pain management & nutrition, investigational studies, etc).

Additional minimum qualifications include board certification through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (e.g. BCPS, BCOP). Board certification must be active and maintained.

For pharmacists providing care in Investigational Drug Services, the ASHP Investigational Drug Service Certificate will be allowed. Candidates who are not Board Certified will be given 24 months to achieve certification.
 

Requires pharmacist licensure in the state of practice and a degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy. If not licensed in the state of practice, must have completed the Board of Pharmacy application process within 30 days of job offer. Must be licensed within 90 days of hire unless the delay is due to the State Board of Pharmacy. May be required to possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company’s auto insurance policy.

THE ROLE

The IT Internal Auditor position will work within the Corporate Internal Audit Group and report directly to the Global Director of IT Internal Audit. This will be a hands-on position, responsible for performing IT audit projects as part of the total internal audit plan. The IT Auditor will assist in the development of internal audit scope, performing audit procedures, and preparing internal audit reports reflecting the results of the work performed. Work performed will include coverage of the SOX 404 effort, SSAE 18 SOC 1, SOC2, PCI compliance, Data Privacy and Protection, functional and operating units, focusing on IT and operational processes. There will be frequent exposure to senior management throughout the organization, as well as interactions with external auditors. The IT Auditor may direct and review the work performed by other internal audit personnel, including contract resources.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

• Assist in various compliance efforts and adherence to documented policies and procedures including SOX 404, SSAE 18 SOC 1 and 2 reports, Data Privacy and Protection, and partial PCI DSS
• Prepare and perform audit testing as well as facilitate remediation of control findings
• Prepare flowcharts, narratives, and reports to document processes and controls
• Responsible for IT controls and all aspects of the related documentation, walkthroughs, testing and issue resolution
• Identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of operational, financial, and compliance processes
• Participate in a variety of special projects including fraud investigations or data protections
• Interface and interview management and operating personnel
• The function will involve certain due diligence work together with specific project assignments
• Responsible for compliance to all company policies and procedures and other assigned duties
• Travel could be up to 25% with some International

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting or related fields
• Public audit experience desired, Big 4 experience preferred; solid corporate internal audit experience also acceptable.  Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience
• A demonstrated understanding of information systems (Oracle, SAP, Linux, HR Systems) and processes and ability to apply that knowledge in conducting IT audits
• Understanding of IT audit procedures, techniques, internal control concepts, and experiences in applying them to plan, perform, manage and report on the evaluation of various businesses areas/functions
• Experience with testing completeness and accuracy of key reports preferred (i.e. IPE - the reports produced by the company)
• Ability to quickly assess a situation/process at a top level, identify potential problems and recommend real 'business practical' solutions
• Strong communication skills (written and oral) to effectively present to peers and management
• Experience in performing multiple IT projects and working with varying team members
• Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Strong computer skills and ability to utilize computer assisted auditing techniques.
• Previous SSAE 18 SOC1 or SOC2, and Sarbanes-Oxley Internal Control assessment (Section 404) experience preferred
• CISA, CISM, CISSP or CIPT certification is desired
• Fluency in Spanish preferred
