A new opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Category Manager to join a reputable Public Sector organisation in Greater Manchester on a 3-month contract.

The Role:

• You will lead on procurement projects to achieve optimal value for money on behalf of the organisation
• Prepare tender documentation and manage full processes above threshold
• Support procurement strategy delivery within assigned category areas
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure value for money is achieved

You will need to succeed:

• A strong background in public sector procurement
• PCR2015 / FTS knowledge

As our Head of Group Public Policy Research & Political Risk, you’ll be responsible for driving the development of policy interventions. Along with an understanding of our wider strategy, you’ll have the ability to research complex political policies and how they affect us and our customers.

You will also need a contacts book, the desire to build that contacts book and the willingness to engage with politicians and officials on an ongoing and out of hours basis.
