This is a 12-month contract job with scope for extension. This contract job is remote with the exception of meeting once per month in Cambridge or Uxbridge offices.

Your new role

As Senior Regulatory Affairs Associate EU, you will support a Regulatory Affairs Lead with assigned projects and products in order to execute the regional regulatory strategy and regional regulatory plans.

What you'll need to succeed
Your experience working as an Account handler dealing with Corporate risks with working knowledge of all main classes of General Insurance as well as

You will be confident and have good attention to detail, as well as having good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook E-mail systems and be able to process work quickly and meet deadlines. Your new role working as a Construction Account Handler means you will be working for leading Insurance Intermediaries in the construction sector. Due to the expansion of their renewals team, a position for a Construction Account Handler within their Southend office has arisen.
Your new role working as a Construction Account Handler means you will be responsible for managing and administering clients, handling the renewal process from inception to completion, to include midterm adjustments, with the opportunity to cross-sell products to existing customers for potential new policies. Other duties will mean you are responsible and accountable for the retention, maintenance and growth of a book of clients on behalf of the company.
What you need to succeed
Your previous experience working as an Account Handler, dealing with all construction risks will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have excellent knowledge of the insurance market, and have good experience handling construction risks. You will be able to work well in a team, as well as on your own. You will ideally be CERT CII qualified or working towards.

Your new company are a Lloyd's Brokers based in the City of London, they deal with risks in Art and Private Clients, Corporate Risks, International, Healthcare, Speciality, MGA & Binding Authorities, and Motor Fleets. They are a highly respected broker and renowned for giving their specialist knowledge and expertise to their longstanding relationships with insurers in the London market and with their clients.
Your new role
Your new job working as a Senior Technician will require you to manage own workload and time to maximise efficiency and be able to manage a team by mentoring, training and guiding members of the team. You will report to the Binding Authority Director. Duties will include undertaking ongoing communication with colleagues to ensure timely and accurate production of documentation, chasing and monitoring premiums under terms of trade, diarising, tracking and chasing subjectivities, proposal forms and surveys. Other duties include developing and maintaining relationships with colleagues within the division and across the company, actively participating in regular team discussions and acting as a point of contact for junior members of the team. Further duties include processing and producing debit notes and closings as well as submitting to Bureaux, maintaining electronic filing systems, making and reconciling payments to Bureau under terms of trade, liaising with clients and Underwriters, dealing with complex issues and queries from brokers and clients. Also, providing regular feedback to the reporting manager, ensuring compliance with rules and procedures, assisting with special projects, proactively networking to expand market knowledge and recording Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience as a Senior Technician will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have at least 5 years of insurance experience and proven and practical experience of applying competencies to a level outlined above. You will also need 5 GCSEs at C or 5 and above or A Levels, including Maths and English and Lloyd's Market LM1 and LM2. Desirably you will be working towards your ACII, but it is not essential.
