Is a recognized subject matter expert in a specialized area and provides leadership for highly complex and challenging activities under the minimal direction of a manager or executive. The Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing) - QA serves as the monitoring/Tracking specialist for all activities of SPS, which includes the operating room case cart management system. The major duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Monitors the process of cleaning/decontamination, sterilization, reprocessing, and distribution of critical, semi-critical and non-critical Reusable Medical Devices (RMD). This includes following the use of bacteriological controls, principles and methods of sterilization, packaging, and assembly of simple to more complex items for therapeutic and surgical procedures.
• Develops procedures to evaluate the quality of work performance and outcomes as it relates to the quality assurance program.
• Maintains a system of internal and external reviews ensuring overall compliance of all critical, semi- critical and non-critical RMD used within the medical center.
• Tracks and analyzes required documentation pertaining to critical, semi-critical and non-critical RMD within the scope of SPS for quality control purposes.

This technician position serves as a Pneudraulic Svstem Mechanic within a fuel systems shop responsible for inspection, repair and maintenance of aircraft fuel cells, water injection, entidetonant (ADI), and inflight refueling systems. Utilizing extensive knowledge of fuel systems maintenance practices and procedures, incumbent troubleshoots the systems and determines extent and tvpe of preventive and/or repair maintenance required and performs all necessary repairs, installation, and operational checks.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Daily responsibilities include collecting, compiling, and tracking data and statistical information in support of Veteran Transportation Service (VTS).
• Performs a basic analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports.
• Collates in-coming data from a variety of sources.
