About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic individual who is able to oversee the day to day running of a supported living provision in the Liverpool area. The candidate will need to be outcome focused and be able to lead a team of support workers to proactively enhance people’s lives.

This individual will also need to be able to implement and maintain standards in line with CQC requirements and local authority contracts.

A driver is required due to on call responsibilities and being able to attend meetings outside the local geographical area. In addition, experience of working with vulnerable adults in supported living models.

This vacancy is based in Rose Grove, Burnley.

Who do you support?
We support 3 males aged between 50 and 60 years old with learning disabilities, mental health needs and autism. You may be required to support people who, at times, will be challenging.

Where do they live?
This property is a short bus ride into Burnley town centre.


What activities do the people that we support at this property like to do?
The gentlemen we support have varied different personalities and interests, these include music, going to the allotment and walking.

Are there any skills or interests that a candidate could have that would be great to use to support this service?
We are looking for someone who can drive and help with personal care.

What daily tasks to the people we support need help with?

• Daily finances and banking.
• Household chores including food preparation.
• Managing a tenancy.
• Reporting property issues to the landlord.
• Moving and handling.
• Medication management.
• Building social & lifestyle skills.
• Health & hygiene needs.

This vacancy is based in Burnley.

Who do you support?
We support 1 gent who has learning disabilities and severe autism The gent is non-verbal and presents with some behavior's that may challenge, He like to goes on walks in all weather up to 5 times last around 40 mins at time

Where do they live?
3 bedroom semi detached house with large garden and driveway

What would a typical shift be like?
At the start of the day you'll help with personal care, shaving, washing hair, brushing teeth, drying and choosing clothes and helping to dress. He will choose what he want for breakfast but the staff will prepare all meals and complete household tasks for the person we support. When accessing the community it will be a 2-1.

What activities do the people that we support at this property like to do?
The gent loves listening to music, watching TV, cycling and swimming and walking in all weathers and going for drives out


Are there any skills or interests that a candidate could have that would be great to use to support this service?
We have mobility car so would like someone who can drive Someone who likes to swim and can ride a bike.


What is the team here or is it lone-working?
You only lone work from 7:30 to 10am then 10am to 8pm you would work 2-1 and lone work 8pm to 11pm then sleep in shift begin. Additional training will be needed for PBS and TMVA


What are your shift patterns?
Day shift 8am to 19:00 or 21:00 late shift 10:00 to 23:00 sleep 23:00 to 07:30 early shift 07:30 to 08:00

About the role of Team Leader

As a Team Leader you will lead and direct a team in developing person centred services to successfully deliver service user and contract outcomes. You will also develop staff skills and knowledge in delivering high quality services that are designed and delivered to meet the needs of individuals.

The principle accountabilities of the job are:

• To follow the principles of person centred approaches in all areas of operation.
• To be responsible for assessment, planning, monitoring and reviewing of individual support.
• To ensure appropriate information is captured, reported and analysed.
• To lead and manage staff to ensure that the highest levels of performance and standards are achieved and maintained at all times, to promote and nurture good practice.
• To ensure that staff skills, gifts, qualities and strengths are put to best use.
• To manage the recruitment of staff, and to co-ordinate and deploy staff resources efficiently and effectively.
• To develop and maintain a customer focussed ethos at all times and to ensure excellent working relationships with other professionals.
• To ensure all staff receive appropriate levels of support through on the job coaching, regular supervisions and appraisals, and ensure their training and development needs are identified and met.
• To organise and facilitate positive and productive team meetings.
• To ensure practice in line with company policy, procedure and legislation.
• To ensure the service delivery meets the required quality standards, and to evidence quality service delivery.

• Excellent time manager who has the ability to plan and prioritise a complex workload.

We need you to have a willingness to work flexible hours (including on call) over 7 days per week, including unsocial hours and weekends, according to the needs of the business.

You will also need an NVQ 3 qualification in management or care (or equivalent) or a willingness and ability to complete such a qualification within a set time period; in addition to training in Person centred practices (planning, review, team development)

This vacancy is based in Nelson.

Who do you support?
we support 3 gents all with learning disabilities they are all none verbal and have care needs around toileting bathing and eating , all 3 are on SALT Guidelines , 2 of the gents like going out out for meals days out, theatre and long drives.

Where do they live?
The property is a 5 bedroomed bungalow in its own grounds up a back street

What would a typical shift be like?

Shift consist of of long days short days sleep shifts and weekends, this would consist of helping gents with all aspects of person care, dressing. They all enjoy going on their activities such as drives out shopping going out for meals, arts and crafts and going to the sensory room as well as listening to music and watching films.

Are there any skills or interests that a candidate could have that would be great to use to support this service?
All service users have their own cars and so will need to hold a full UK driving license to take on activities.

What is the team here or is it lone-working?
There will be some lone working during the sleep shifts

What are your shift patterns?
9am-10pm 10pm - 9am (sleep in) 9am-3pm, 9am-4pm and 9am-5pm.
