The school are looking for a Science Teacher to provide long-term cover until Easter, with an option to extend further.

Your new role

As a qualified science teacher, you will be responsible for inspiring students through creating high-quality lesson plans that are in line with the curriculum. Whether a new qualified teacher or an experienced one, you will need to be confident in delivering high quality lessons to students, with varying abilities. Effective communication, teamwork and organisational skills are crucial. You will be responsible for marking work, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a thorough understanding of curriculum material.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Science to secondary school students
• Biology or Chemistry specialism preferred
• Good Behaviour Management
• Excellent Curriculum knowledge
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Your new role

In your new role, you will be teaching science to KS3 and KS4 students in classes of 20-30. This full-time position is on a long-term supply basis. You will be responsible for safeguarding, student welfare, and personal care, serving as an effective role model. By doing so, you will support the school's mission and values. While you won't be required to take on full teaching responsibilities, it would be preferred if you could occasionally plan and deliver engaging lessons and mark work as needed. There is also the potential for this role to become permanent.
