Creative Support are recruiting for a Senior Quality Practitioner (Medication Lead) to join the national quality team. The role is based in Stockport town centre with national travel. There is potential for some flexible working.

Scope of the role

Creative Support has an established nationally focused quality department, which undertakes aspects of quality assurance work, compliance and good practice work nationally across our service user groups. These include a regular audit programme, a proactive audit schedule which works ahead of external inspections from regulators, local authorities and the CQC. Medication good practice and person centred support are imperative to achieving high quality services. The quality department is looking to enhance its team with this new Medication lead role.

Summary of the Role

The role of Senior Quality Practitioner – Medication Lead is a newly developed role which will significantly contribute to quality assurance across the organisation. The role will concentrate on medication governance and improvement processes across our national services, particularly those services who are registered with CQC. Creative Support currently has over 650 services, including Learning Disability, Mental Health, Care Homes, etc. The role will be well supported within the highly experienced and established quality team who have been together in its current work for over 10 years.

Key areas of concentration for this post holder are to have a lead role in medication good practice including ensuring policies and toolkits enable excellent medication management and to audit sites to ensure compliance against policy and protocols.

You will be based within the Quality team and will contribute to our audit and social care governance processes. Full induction and comprehensive training provided. The role is newly developed and hence the successful candidate will be involved in the strategy for the role in conjunction with the Head of Quality. This is a progressive role for an experience professional in Health and Social Care with a passion for high standard of health support and medication good practice. This is a varied role and suits someone who is organised, caring with great insight into good practice standards.

As a result of expansion into a new state of the art facility, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to join their quality team and be a key member of the QA function.

Typical responsibilities/accountabilities:

• Manage documentation through the documents lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
• Creating, reviewing, and approving key documentation such as specifications, SOPs, protocols, and methods associated with a product.
• QA review and dossier collation of GMP production and analytical documentation prior to QP release.
• Investigating and addressing deviations to prevent future occurrences.
• Managing supplier suitability and any issues and supplier mitigation steps for supplier complaints raised.
• Proactively able to identify and manage site improvements for Quality Improvement through CAPAs.
• Ensure training on procedures (SOPs) is up-to-date and in line with industry standards. Prepare and conduct quality training sessions, including induction and GMP training.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 years' experience in Quality Assurance within a Pharmaceutical (GMP) facility, preferably Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs).
• Degree in a relevant scientific discipline desired.
• Experience in working with analytical laboratories and GMP production areas.
• An understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements within the pharmaceutical industry.

Typical responsibilities/accountabilities:

• Execute hands-on U/HPLC method transfer, validation, and contribute to method development (Assay, Purity & Imps methods, Cleaning methods).
• Conduct dissolution method transfer and validation, with a lesser focus on method development.
• Perform pharmacopeial methods such as IR, Appearance, pH, CU, and water content.

What you'll get to do as an Electrical Inspector:
