The Role

Working in accordance with Accrol’s principles and values, you will ensure safety remains our number one priority through your actions and behaviours.

In the role your duties will include, but are not limited to, the safe movement of raw material, packaging and finished goods inventory utilising multiple Manual Handling Equipment (MHE) and ensuring IT systems are updated in a real-time environment.

We are looking for proactive motivated individuals to be part of a first class team ensuring we supply a World Class customer service.

The shift pattern rotates across an 8-week period, working 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off. Each shift is 12 hours with paid lunch breaks and attracts an hourly rate of £11.43. Accrol is an accredited Real Living Wage employer and reviews its remuneration annually as part of this commitment.

About you

Experience of working in a FMCG warehouse will be a distinct advantage. You should have a good knowledge of safe working practices within a manufacturing environment. An essential part of this role is to possess a valid FLT licence and be fully conversant with the safe use of Manual Handling Equipment.

You should be a self-starter who has a passion for delivering to targets at the highest standard with a strong customer focus.

Your new role

• Utilising your strategic procurement experience, you will be involved with all aspects of developing the supply chain from cradle-to-grave.

What you'll need to succeed

• Engineering background with a minimum of 3–5 years previous experience in a Purchasing/Purchasing Management
• Competent use of purchasing modules within ERP/MRP system.
• Proven track record of controlling and reducing external spend whilst developing a robust supplier base.
• Experience of purchasing bespoke manufactured parts including scheduled deliveries.
• Management and coordination of purchasing activities with relation to cost, delivery and quality performance.
• Coordinating and managing with quality personnel, resolutions to Supplier Quality concerns, ensuring timely and effective containment and long-term resolutions.
• Mentoring new starters, providing ‘on the job' training to existing team members and ensuring that the team are satisfactorily supported in their day to day work activities.
