DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The aviation safety inspector (ASI) receives administrative direction from management in terms of broadly defined missions or functions. The ASI, mostly independently plans, designs, and carries out programs, projects, studies, or other work. The ASI provides policy assistance to ASIs on difficult or complex policy interpretations. The work is normally accepted without change. Completed work may be reviewed for adherence to FAA policy and for assurance that project requirements have been fulfilled.

ASIs at the FG-13 level issue certificates to and monitor (1) a large and complex aviation organization or
(2) a number of smaller organizations that, together, are comparable in complexity to one large one. They are the primary contact point with the aviation organization(s). They may decide on issuance of the original certificates. They evaluate and decide upon proposals to change the authorized programs of the organizations. They continuously monitor the activities of organizations to determine whether they are following their authorized program, Federal regulations, and good safety practices.

FG-13 assignments are characterized by one or more of the following:
1. Commercially operated aircraft or and the complex avionics equipment associated with such
aircraft;
2. A variety of maintenance operations with diverse types of aircraft; or
3. Novel and complex aviation operations.

FG-13 employees plan and conduct their assignments with substantial technical independence. They receive administrative and policy guidance from their supervisors and policy makers. They also obtain technical advice from higher-level inspectors who are experts on a particular type of aircraft or who have overall program responsibility. They independently plan and carry out a work program to meet the needs and monitor the activities of the organizations for which they have certification responsibility. The scope program may be such as to require the occasional assistance of other employees to conduct inspections and evaluate operations.

The ASI applies a mastery knowledge level of the appropriate specialization and a broad knowledge
line of business mission and goals to assigned programs and areas of responsibility.

The ASI plans and directs the use of time and resources to accomplish organizational objectives. He or she defines, organizes, and uses resources to accomplish work activities within established schedules, analyzes program requirements and accomplishments, and makes or directs adjustments as necessary to address organizational needs.

Guidelines and precedents are frequently inadequate for dealing with novel or complex operations.
FG-13 employees understand and apply the basic principles of aviation safety and interpret the
intent of the regulations.

At FG-13, contacts are frequently with owners and top managers of aviation corporations and involve of issues and problems that confront large aviation organizations. Occasionally issues are controversial, arousing considerable public interest.

ASIs at the FG-13 level participate extensively in the certification inspection and surveillance of highly complex air carrier operations where principal program responsibility is vested in an aviation safety inspector of higher grade. These FG-13 employees have broad authority to negotiate with carrier management and make technical determinations within the coverage of approved specifications and policy manuals.

The ASI provides guidance to field level staff to solve difficult technical issues. Resolves all but unique problems, with the intervention of management or a more experienced technical specialist. Develop plans, techniques, and policies to address current and anticipated problems and issues. Works with management to solve problems.

Contacts are internal and external to the agency. The ASI occasionally represents the agency as a point of contact for policy development, inspection activities or as a technical trainer.

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Constructs, alters, repairs and/or modifies interior decoration and structural item such as: doors, partitions, windows, finished paneling, ceiling tiles, floor tiles, bathroom tiles, interior and exterior trims, screens, roofs, floor covering, shelving, cabinets, picture frames where accuracy, spacing and fitness are essential and appearances important.
• Provides special packing of all equipment or accessories.
• Plans and executes projects from initial layout to final assembly and/or installation.
• Follows blueprints, sketches and work orders of items to be constructed/altered, using his own initiative.
• Sharpens saws, saw blades, tools, accessories used in the Carpentry Shop and Painting Unit.
• Repairs or refinishes furniture, including vinyl tops and wheelchair seats.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within Carpentry and Painting Unit.
• Sets up and operates woodworking machines and tools.
• Constructs, installs, repairs or modifies wood and wood substitute structures and items requiring close tolerance fit and structural soundness.
• Applies and uses the most effective procedures of the trade for the execution of routine upkeep of building walls, partitions, ceilings and equipment in general.
• Follows established guides for the application and safety requirements in his trade to assure satisfactory painting progress based on the useful life of paint and painting procedures for existing building and equipment.
• Performs routine maintenance on painting equipment such as cleaning painting guns, paint pots and hoses.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

As a Supervisory General Attorney (Non-Tax), you will:

• In non-tax litigation, provides legal support within the designated jurisdictional area and prepares recommendations to the Department of Justice or the U.S. Attorney, as appropriate, in Federal court involving the IRS or IRS employees, including but limited to employee appeals, discrimination complaints, and other personnel cases; suits by labor organizations involving representation rights of Service employees; damage suits brought against officials and employees as individuals for acts done during the performance of their official duties (Bivens suits); and tort suits where no administrative claim has been filed under the Federal Tort Claims Act.

The selectee will provide legal advice and support to ICE activities and programs in the area of Federal sector employment law. The selectee's responsibilities in the position will consist primarily of providing legal advice, training, and support to ICE activities and programs on federal employment law practice, including adverse actions, disciplinary matters, performance issues, prohibited personnel practices, reasonable accommodation, EEO and other issues related to federal employment law practice; and serving as agency counsel in proceedings before administrative and judicial forums, including arbitration, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board, the Office of Special Counsel, and the U.S. Federal Courts.

How Do We Pay:

Compensation for this position in the first year is a combination of hourly pay, guaranteed bonus, and the opportunity to earn commission payments based upon the applicable compensation schedule for the role, which may be amended from time to time.

Newly hired employees (in all jurisdictions, including [CA, NY, NJ, CO, WA]) are paid $17.31 per hour, a minimum guaranteed monthly bonus of $1,333 in months 1 through 7, plus the opportunity to earn commissions.  Newly hired employees historically have received average total compensation between $56,000 and $66,000 in their first year.  Annual compensation, however, is not guaranteed, other than the hourly pay and guaranteed bonus described above.

    • Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas. Spot clean daily and shampoo when directed rugs. Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces including periodic high dusting.

    • Wash glass and trim at entrance doors, interior/exterior- Wash/spot clean interior walls as appropriate daily.
    • Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily.  Standard bathroom procedures are to damp wipe glass surfaces, empty waste baskets, service soap and toilet paper dispensers, dust sills, clean tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, sweep/mop/scrub floors, etc.
    • Monitors possible defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, and reports to supervisors.
        ○ Collect building trash daily placing it in approved container and place in designated collection area for subsequent removal.
        ○ Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specs.
        ○ Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed.
    • Performs periodic work:   High dusting, leather and wood surface, polishing, wall washing.

THE JOB

The Assistant General Manager will provide support and assistance to the General Manager.  This role will work closely with division leadership, local municipalities and will have a close tie to all hourly event-based employees at the venue.   This role will also assist by supporting additional Live Nation venues within the region when needed.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

• Responsible for managing all aspects of facility operations and maintenance, including but not limited to, front of house operations, preventive maintenance, third party contracting, limited governmental relationships, and staffing.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises part-time staff/supervisors, including but not limited to: Security, Parking/Traffic, Cashiers, Maintenance, and Ushers/Ticket Takers.
• Develops and oversees overhead expense budget for House Departments.
• Assists, in coordination with the General Manager, in preparation of annual operations budget.
• Maintains and monitors records of all incident reports.  Investigates and manages all pending cases, including interviewing staff and attending arbitration hearings as necessary.
• In conjunction with all management and other personnel works to provide a safe and enjoyable facility for guests and employees including all Service Culture training.
• Ensure optimum operating condition of all theater equipment, such as communication equipment and crowd control devices.
• Investigate and resolve guest related complaints.
• Implementation and execution of all Live Nation policies, procedures, and programs.
• Develop and implement recruiting program for seasonal event staff and other seasonal positions.
• Develop and coordinate the Injury Prevention Program for staff.
• Development and maintenance of municipality relationships including police, fire, rescue, parks and other departments.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and third party vendors to ensure safe, efficient and successful events
• Respond to patron complaints as necessary
• Coordinate with facilities team to develop long term preventive maintenance programs, capital expenditure programs, and other asset protection and improvement programs
• Coordinate and actively communicate to the neighboring businesses and residents as needed.
• Provides support to neighboring venues within the region/market.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or comparable work experience
• Minimum 5 years experience as a manager in a hospitality related business
• Flexible Schedule (days/nights, weekends, and holidays)
• Ability and flexibility to travel when needed
• Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms

Preferred:

• Previous experience working with local municipalities, such as police, fire, etc.
• Previous experience supervising and managing large volumes of part time, event based employees
• Experience in a live music environment
