Estate Technician

We have an opportunity for an Estate Technician to join our Estate Services team, based in Leeds. As an Estates Technician you will work as part of a small team to carry out a variety of work on void and occupied properties. Most of the work will be external and consist of garden works, fencing, paving and minor external repairs. You will sometimes be required to empty void properties of their contents and clean empty properties ready for further internal works or for it to be rented. A full training plan will be provided as well as a company van and power tools.
The role covers a variety of locations across west and south Yorkshire but is based out of Castleton Close, Armley, Leeds. The successful candidate will predominantly be working in a pair with occasional lone working or working as part of a larger team on bigger projects. The ideal candidate will be hardworking with a keen eye for detail. They will be responsible for the tools and equipment they use on a daily basis which includes a work mobile phone.

The role of Estate Technician will include:

- Undertaking general caretaking duties including; cleaning communal areas such as stairs, doors and windows, removing bulk waste, fitting carpets and basic onsite repairs
- Grounds maintenance tasks to include; lawn mowing, hedge trimming and general upkeep
- Working with customers to identify faults, resolving issues and improving services
- Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition


Skills and experiences:

- Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Facilities Operative who has a suitable qualification (or provide evidence of experience) of one of the following trades - carpentry, plumbing, decorating. Someone who is ICT literate for updating systems, able to priorities tasks anticipate and reduce risk where possible and an effective communicator. Ideally, someone who is IOSH trained, has a current first aid certificate and experience of COSHH, PAT testing, asbestos awareness and working at heights but this is not essential.

We are looking for a Maintenance Operative to assist in the day to day presentation and maintenance of our luxury development!
You'll provide first line response to all building support requests and work orders raised.

As our go-to person, the one with the know of how to keep the development running like clockwork, you'll oversee and and carry out

Job Title : Facilities Supervisor

Location : 10 Sites across South and West Yorkshire

Salary : £13.55 per hour

I am working with one of my clients who are looking for a reliable Facilities Supervisor to join their team in Leeds / Sheffield. The successful candidate will be overseeing operations at 10 sites across South and West Yorkshire on a permanent basis.

Key responsibilities :

• As a Facilities Supervisor/Cleaning supervisor you will be responsible for supervising the cleaning teams to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and customer service is maintained across there large-scale government contract.
• This will be a mobile role covering multiple sites.
• A company vehicle will be provided therefore a full clean driving license (valid within the UK) is essential.

We are now recruiting for Automation Maintenance Technician at our Leeds Mail Centre, Leodis Way, Leeds, LS10 1AZ site.
In this role your potential earning will be over £51k per annum.

Salary: £51,051 per annum, plus night shift allowance of £5,100 per annum (pro rota) 22.5 days annual leave with bank holidays and a defined contribution pension scheme. A weekend supplement for Saturday (£51 per attendance) and Sunday (£102 per attendance) shift attendance is applicable.
The successful candidate will be required to follow the Leeds Mail Centre shift rotation system, as outlined below with some degree of voluntary flexibility to meet our 24/7 operational needs on occasion, including voluntary overtime coverage and occasional shift pattern flexibility.

I want to emphasise that our goal is to improve our scheduling process, not make it more challenging.

Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of automation assets through completion of effective maintenance procedures.
Key aspects of the role include:


- Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance
- Performing continuous improvement activities
- Provide effective and efficient support to the Engineering Manager, Maintenance Team Leader and Engineering Team Coaches, completion of end of shift reports, fault logging and data entry
- Identify the root cause of automation breakdowns and prioritize corrective actions to meet operational processing requirements
- Monitor equipment performance and improve automation outputs in collaboration with operational stakeholders
- Identifying and working on Continuous Improvement projects, conception to implementation ownership, for machinery in the Hub/ Mail Centre
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team to achieve common goals
About you

As an experienced multi-skilled engineer you’ll be qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering / NVQ Level 3 – or equivalent). Understanding Health & Safety legislation, you’ll have first-hand experience of maintaining automation equipment,along with a flexible approach and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively.

You are required to have a full UK driving licence as on occasion you may be asked to travel to other sites.

Who we are looking for

- Previous experience of working within a in a high-profile corporate environment
- Previous reception or hospitality experience
- Some experience of budgets and budgetary process preferred.
- Some previous FM knowledge preferred, including use of CAFM systems or signing off tasks via electronic method.
