Our client, a Museum based in the heart of London are currently on the search for a Facilities Administrator to join their estates team on a 4 months temporary contract. This is a exciting opportunity to join a fast faced and dynamic organization within a busy public environment.

Key Responsibilities;

Financial:

• Administration of the department budget (revenue and capital), tracking &
reporting on expenditure and producing monthly management reports using existing guidance and templates;
• Support the undertaking of the Facilities team monthly and quarterly budget reviews and returns, in accordance with our financial procedures, with variance analysis and in-year reforecasting/adjustments;

• Administer the raising of purchase orders and processing/authorisation of
payment claims
• Support the procurement of services and capital works. Lead responsibility will
vary depending on contract size and scope and in accordance with Museum procedures
• Administer the Delta procurement portal, which is used for the preparation/collation of tender documents,
managing clarifications, submitting tender reports and evaluations.
• Ensure all supply contracts and supplier files, with renewal
dates are tracked in the department calendar.

• Support the management in the delivery of H&S initiatives/ priorities.
• Support the management of H&S, including monitoring accident/incidents,
reporting and data analysis, arranging training, liaising with advisors and
servicing information requirements, updating content on the intranet,
supporting internal audits.
• Follow up with contractors and internal stakeholders on actions, quotes and service visits.
• Lead on co-ordinating contractor access to restricted areas of the site. Liaise with stakeholders in other departments and contractors to ensure work is co-ordinated in a safe manner that doesn't put people or collections at risk.
• Maintain excellent record keeping, both electronic and physical, adhering to the museum records keeping policies.

Chemistry Technician – Fixed term, term time working. Location: Howell's School, Llandaff
Required from: September 2024 until post-holder’s return, approximately 4 months September to Christmas 2024.
Contract term: Fixed term, preferably full-time during term time (36 hours) in line with the school day, however hours can be negotiated.
The Role:
We are looking for a Chemistry Technician to join the team on a temporary basis, to support the safe delivery of experiments and practical activities within Chemistry lessons in order to optimise teaching and learning.
Responsibilities will include preparing, setting out and clearing away equipment and materials, making up solutions of specific concentrations for use in practical activities, assisting the teacher in lessons and working with students in safely using equipment and undertaking experiments.
The successful candidate will have a solid background knowledge of Chemistry, be qualified to A level or equivalent in Chemistry, with some laboratory experience (either academic or industrial).
The Department:
The Chemistry department is a very successful, thriving department and the staff work very closely together. There are three full time Chemistry teachers, and three well-equipped teaching laboratories supported by one technician working from a well-organised and well-stocked prep room. Year 7 and 8 are taught a bespoke integrated curriculum composed of units drawing from across the three sciences. The first few units of GCSE are taught in year 9 before students choose to follow either the Combined Science (Double Award) AQA course or the GCSE Chemistry (Separate Sciences) AQA course in years 10 and 11. Class sizes at GCSE tend to range from 12 to 20 and Chemistry is a popular choice at A level (WJEC) with two or three classes each year, each with 6 to 14 students. The Chemistry department works closely alongside the Biology and Physics departments, each with their own subject specialist teachers, laboratories and technicians.
