Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) maintaining a clean and safe working environment, performing rounds, conducting routine assessments, performance of day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance, painting, and housekeeping for assigned properties

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform all plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s)
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers (air and/ or water cooled), DX units, pumps, cooling towers, fan coil units, VAV, and air distribution systems, etc.
• Monitor and adjust all mechanical/pneumatic equipment, steam stations, control gauges, distributor panels, valves, thermostats, diffusers, and other equipment necessary to provide a comfortable environment for the buildings
• Verify field conditions and perform any necessary repairs or adjustments
• Monitor Energy Management
• Repair doors, ceilings, hand railings, and floors and other general repairs, adjustments and installations about the property
• Perform repairs to plumbing fixtures (water closets, urinals, flush valve assemblies, lavatories, etc.)
• Perform preventive maintenance duties in accordance with C&W standards, building protocol, manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices. including changing filters, cleaning coils, flushing condensers, punching tubes, greasing fan, pump and motor bearings as required, inspecting and adjusting belts, replacing motor bearings, aligning pulleys and shafts, monitor condenser, chilled, heating and secondary water chemical treatment and its associated feed equipment, clean and maintain cooling towers, and perform annual inspections and other scheduled routines as directed.
• Inspect engine room equipment, fan room equipment, cooling tower, all motors, house pumps, electric rooms, back-up generator, fire pump(s), sump pump(s), and ejector pumps. Replace lamps, light fixtures, reinstall or replace signage, verify rooms are clean and clear of obstructions and debris
• Check for properly operating emergency exit signs and lights and ensure free and clear access to emergency stairs and exits. Perform additional fire and life safety inspections as per NFPA and local jurisdiction, C&W standards, building protocol and as directed by superiors and property management
• Document and report activities to supervisor
• Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives as relates to building operations and practice safe work habits
• Complete all required C&W Safety Training as scheduled annually
• Comply with C&W Uniform Dress Code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance while on the property at times other than working hours

Pay Range - $22.00 - $40.06

Your Profile / Qualifications

• Experience on ERP SAP environment would be a plus.

• Must be able to communicate effectively in Catalan/Spanish/English, written and verbal (other languages valued positively)

Technicien de simulateur vol

Au sein du groupe des services techniques de la division de la formation et des services civils de CAE, le titulaire doit réaliser toutes les tâches de maintenance préventive et corrective sur plusieurs simulateurs de vol et dispositifs connexes au centre de formation de CAE de Montréal.

Le candidat travaillera 40 heures par semaine – sur des quarts de travail variable, y compris des quarts de jour, de soir, de nuit et de fin de semaine. Le titulaire appuiera les rôles et les responsabilités suivantes :

Soutien technique opérationnel : (40 %)

• Soutien téléphonique en temps réel pour recevoir et régler les problèmes techniques directement sur le simulateur de vol.
• Préparation du simulateur pour la formation du client et exécution des essais avant le vol.
• Exécution de tâches de maintenance préventive, d'essais de validation des avions (essai de certification) et réalisation et restauration des sauvegardes de disque des ordinateurs et des systèmes.

Soutien technique d'enquête et d'intégration : (40 %)

• Diagnostic et résolution de défaillances complexes exigeant des données ou de la recherche supplémentaires sur les caractéristiques et les comportements fondamentaux de l'avion.
• Repérage et remplacement de composantes défectueuses du simulateur de vol;
• Validation de différentes corrections d'anomalies sur le dispositif de simulateur de vol.
• Tenue et consignation du contrôle de la configuration logicielle et matérielle.
• Capacité de lire et d'interpréter des dessins électriques et électromécaniques et des documents de conception.
• Capacité de définir les problèmes, de recueillir des données, d'établir les faits et de tirer des conclusions valables; capacité d'interpréter les exigences complexes du client.
• Expérience facultative des aéronefs et des systèmes pour appliquer des correctifs pratiques à un simulateur.

Tâches administratives, documentation et projets : (20 %)

• Consignation du travail de manière périodique, objective et officielle dans le système de renseignements sur le système de formation (Gemini);
• Mise à jour de la documentation et des procédures.
• Participation et apprentissage actif dans le cadre de cours de formation technique et d'occasions d'apprentissage en cours d'emploi.

Exigences

• DEC en électronique, télécommunication, système ordinés ou l’équivalent.
• Expérience connexe en modification et manipulation logicielle et électronique;
• Connaissance des langages de programmation Windows, Unix, C, C++, du langage de script, un atout.
• Intérêt à comprendre la relation entre le matériel technique et l'interaction logicielle liée à la simulation de vol.
• Familiarisation avec la théorie et les principes de base en électronique et avec les dispositifs d'essai électronique.

Flight Simulator Technician

As part of the Technical Services department within CAE’s Civil Training and Services division, perform all preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on several CAE and non-CAE flight simulators and associated devices at the CAE Montreal Training Center.

The candidate will work 40 hours weekly on various differing shifts including day, evening, night and weekend shifts.

The incumbent will support the following roles and responsibilities:

Technical operational support: (40%)

• Support customers via simulator phone hotline. Receive and address technical issues related to the flight simulators in the Training Center
• Preparation of the simulator for customer training and running pre-flight tests
• Performing preventive maintenance tasks, aeroplane validation tests (QTG) and performing and restoring system/computer disk backups
• Able to understand and translate the ambiguity between customer requests and technical deliverables

Technical investigative and integration support: (40%)

• Being able to efficiently troubleshoot equally in both hardware and software issues in the flight simulator environment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and electro-mechanical drawings and design documents
• Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Able to interpret complex customer requirements
• Diagnosis and resolving of complex deficiencies that require additional data or research into aeroplane fundamental characteristics and behaviors
• Identifying and replacing defective flight simulator components
• Validating various snag fixes directly on the flight simulator device
• Maintaining and documenting configuration control in both software and hardware

Administrative duties, documentation and projects: (20%)

• Logging work on a regular, objective and formal basis in training system information system (Gemini)
• Update technical documentation and procedures
• Participating and actively learning in technical training courses and on-the-job learning opportunities

Requirements

• DEC in Electronics, telecommunication, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Troubleshooting experience in software, hardware and/or electronic environment.
• Previous work experience in a technical environment where troubleshooting complex systems to find root causation is a must (telecommunication technician, automotive mechanic/technician, electronics technicians)
• Available for necessary shift work; day, evening, night and weekend shifts
• Interest and understanding in the relationship between technical hardware and software interaction as it relates to aviation simulation
• Knowledge of Windows, Unix, C, C++ and scripting languages an asset.
• Familiarization with basic electronic theory and principles and electronic testing equipment.
• Aeronautical enthusiasm, including any knowledge of avionics, flight dynamics, aircraft systems and simulated systems an asset.
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written proficiency in French and English

Electromechanic, Maintenance of CNC and Conventional Machines

Your challenges:

• Repair conventional and digital machine tools including 5-axis CNC equipment, lathes, milling machines, etc.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and detect mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic anomalies.
• Repair various production-related systems and their mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components.   
• Repair hydropneumatic tools such as riveters, drills and grinders.

Your strengths:

• College diploma (AEC or DEC) in electromechanics, electronics or other related studies.

• Essential: Knowledge of the various types of equipment: machining equipment, industrial pumps. Essential: excellent mechanics and control knowledge.

Program Summary

KBR will help sustain the well-being of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain, as well as Incirlik Air Base, Izmir Air Station, Office of Defense Cooperation –Turkey and the Ankara Support Facility also in Turkey. The company will keep these bases and facilities operating smoothly so deployed Air Force and government personnel can execute their missions without distraction.

KBR’s work will include program management; civil engineering; morale, welfare and recreation support; postal operations; and safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene and ambulance services. It will also provide logistics support, such as vehicle management, fuel operations and air terminal services. KBR received this contract – which has a five-year base period and three one-year options—from the Air Force Installation Contracting Center.

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the General Maintenance Craftsman provides general facility maintenance to include but is not limited to minor construction, emergency repair, carpentry, welding, plumbing, welding, and emergency tasks required to maintain the base.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the General Maintenance Foreman (Structures), and or assigned applicable work leader.
• Ensures all tasks assigned are carried out in a satisfactory manner in accordance to established standards.
• Performs preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and repair on facilities and installed equipment.
• Preforms actions to mitigate emergencies associated to the base facility maintenance and operations.
• Performs corrective maintenance actions associated in electrical, plumbing, structural, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration.
• Performs emergency repairs and tasks associated to all facilities and infrastructure systems on base.  This includes emergency generator startups, emergency water plant startups operations, and barrier inspections / resets.
• Augments airfield sweeping operations when needed.
• Work may be strenuous and may involve working outdoors during inclement weather.
• Complies with applicable Royal Decree, OSHA and AFOSH safety regulations.
• Must be knowledgeable of Spanish and USAF safety policies.
• Adheres to all pertinent USAF / KBR policies, plans and directives.
• Performs all other duties as assigned including supporting other departments or special projects.
• Seeks to improve service to the customer at reduced cost. Makes suggestions related to use of improved procedures, methods, technology, tools and equipment, and human resources to achieve improved productivity, quality and cost performance.

• Must have English Reading Level I, Written Level I, Verbal Level I.
• The physical requirement of the position includes light lifting of up to 30 kilograms, for heavy lifting up to 50 kilograms, heavier items proper handling equipment is utilized. Moderate exposure to skill includes dust, wide temperature range, noise, vibrations, fumes, harsh chemicals, odors, pollens and grasses, grease, machinery and moving parts, sitting and driving for long periods, bending, stooping, on knees, both indoors and outdoors, and inclement weather, with occasional exposure to hazardous work conditions.   
•  Employee will require to wear issued personnel protective equipment (i.e., steel-toed shoes, work gloves, eye protection, etc.) and any other items required to perform assigned duties.
