Estate Technician

40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 08:00am – 16:30pm
We have an opportunity for an Estate Technician to join our Estate Services team which consists of 15 people and is based in the Glasgow and Cumbernauld areas. As an Estate Technician you will be responsible for property clearances, bulk / fly tipping removal, grounds maintenance and litter picking. The ideal candidate will be hardworking with a keen eye for detail. All works should be completed to a high standard and in line with Health and Safety requirements. A full training plan will be provided as well as a company van and power tools.
The successful candidate will cover a variety of locations across Glasgow and Cumbernauld. The role of Estate Technician will involve working as part of a team of 2. They will be responsible for the tools and equipment used daily, which includes a work mobile phone.
The role of Estate Technician will include:
- Undertaking general caretaking duties which include cleaning communal areas such as stairs, doors and windows, removing bulk waste, litter picking, graffiti removal and the reporting of basic onsite repairs
- Clearing and cleaning void properties
- Gutter cleaning
- Bin store cleaning
- Compliance testing
- Grounds maintenance tasks to include lawn mowing, hedge trimming and general upkeep
- Working with customers to identify faults, resolving issues, and improving services
- Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition
Skills and experiences:
- Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
- Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
- Good communication and customer care skills
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK manual driving licence
