Role Description

At ENGIE South East Asia, we set very ambitious target to help our Clients decarbonize through various pathways, i.e. energy efficiency projects, on-site utilities supply, district cooling systems, solar power generation, etc. And in every project we design, finance, build and operate the Assets with Performance guarantees over long terms.

As the O&M Engineer (Solar), you will be in charge of the Operations & Maintenance of ENGIE SEA PV Solar sites (70 by end of the year) in Singapore. ENGIE Energy Solutions is benefiting from a significant growth in the region and the number of assets under operation is rapidly increasing. This requires an industrialized, harmonized and coordinated monitoring process and liaison with the O&M teams to ensure that ENGIE SEA commitments towards its clients and ENGIE Group are met.

This role reports to the Regional Portfolio Manager which team sits under the Regional Operation Office. The role is based in Singapore and will require regular site visits within the country.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all O&M activities across the solar sites in Singapore
• Daily alarm monitoring and respond to anomalies/faults, communicating with the local maintenance team
• Schedule and carry out O&M activities – in coordination with O&M contractors and Client
• Track and supervise O&M CM/PM works.
• Participate and lead discussions with local clients, contractors, grid operators and associated stakeholders as required to ensure proper completion of assigned activities
• Work with the PV installation team and support on the PV system testing and commissioning as necessary
• Ensure that HSE standards are adhered to in operational sites

Requirements

• Prepare tender documents and specifications
• Plan, coordinate and execute rectification works
• Responsible for project costing and control

• Ensure staff are skillful and ability to handle repair and maintenance work
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for submission to client
• Study, propose and implement feasible improvement works
• Prepare and responsible for annual budget submission
• Prepare and responsible for audit report
• Prepare assessment report for contractors' performance
• Prepare and certify contractors' payment
• Ensure staff and contractors follow the House Rules
• Provide feasible solution and coordinate with owners / users, consultants, vendors / contractors on engineering functional requirements and ensure the objectives are achieved
• Conduct regular inspection of all systems to ensure that all maintenance programs are implemented effectively in strict compliance with instructions and guidelines
• Ensure all works carried out safely and / or in accordance with safety procedures
• Any other tasks, as and when required by Senior Manager

Requirements:

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university
• At least 10 years of related working experience
• Proven experience in facility management in a large facility
• Able to work Independently and possess good interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Pro-active, independent, able to work with minimal supervision and perform under pressure
• Service orientated mindset
• Strong building and M&E knowledge with hands-on experiences
• Possess high level of initiative and integrity
• Possess strong leadership, quality, good planning and organizing ability

Job Description:

· Supervise a team of in-house maintenance staff

· Carry out regular inspection of the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) services and recommend to Manager for improvement or rectification work.

· Obtain quotations from Mechanical & Electrical (M & E) contractors and review their job scopes and specifications.

· Plan preventive maintenance & corrective maintenance works

· Schedule Contractors’ servicing/maintenance works

· Schedule technicians’ routine inspections and maintenance works

· Handle inter-tenancy fitting out works / reinstatements works

· Conduct safety briefings for all contractors and technicians

· Update the ISO 14000 & 18000 documentations & assist Manager for the audits.

· In charge of Quality, Environment, Health & Safety matters

· Review the Risk Assessment & Environment Aspect & Impact Assessment from time to time to ensure a safe and healthy environment

· Review the Standard Operating Procedures e.g. emergency response procedures

· Attend to tenants’ feedback/requests promptly

· Update M&E drawings

· Any other duties assigned by the Building Manager from time to time

Requirements:

· Diploma in Building services / M&E Engineering with min 2 years of working experience in managing office building or ITE certificate in M & E course with min 5 years of relevant working experience

· Able to manage & lead a team of in-house maintenance staff and M & E term contractors

· Preferably with good practical knowledge in ISO 18000 and 14000 matters

· Good written & communication skill

· Has a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behaviour
