Driving High Quality and Sustainable Outcomes The Director of Performance and Planning and Deputy COO will lead on the identification of any performance risks or issues and work with the Clinical Group Chief Executives to develop impactful solutions. The Director of Workforce Strategy and Transformation will play a vital leadership role in supporting the Regional Director of Workforce, Training and Education to deliver on the national and regional WT&E objectives.

The Director of Workforce Strategy and Transformation will be a key member of the South East WT&E leadership team and is responsible for delivering the statutory workforce mandated priorities via the annual and medium-term workforce plans agreed nationally and with each ICB.

They will need to ensure the adherence to budgets set for the regional function as well as for the appropriate allocation and use of the delegated funds.

The post holder will be responsible for the effective leadership and management of the teams within the Workforce portfolio; Supply and Innovation, Clinical Professions and Planning and Intelligence.

The Director’s Personal Assistant for Community Health and Social Care is responsible for providing a comprehensive administrative and secretarial support service to the Director. The postholder will be required to liaise with a wide range of senior managers and Members both within and out with the Council and NHS. The post holder will be required to have a sound working knowledge of both organisations and the political environment.
