A public sector health care organisation are looking for a temporary administrator to work on an on going basis, initially for around 2 months.
The role is full-time Monday to Friday and offices in central York near to the train station.

Your new role

• To be the initial point of personal contact for patients accessing the Referral Support Service.
• This includes discussing with patients by phone choice and care options available to them. This will involve receiving and providing multithreaded and sensitive information about health conditions such as sexual health issues and lifestyle changes. There could be resistance to the information or barriers to understanding.
• The role will also involve liaising with alternative providers to discuss waiting times, using the NHS e-RS and Accenda Integrated Care Gateway software and all other appropriate IT sources.
• To undertake booking of patients into clinic appointments, services such as intermediate tier 2 services and hospital outpatient clinics and ensuring that choice and booking outcomes are satisfactorily completed to a high standard for all patients
• To maintain paper and software support information and administrative systems which support the delivery of a professional commissioning support service.
• To ensure that all complaints, comments and suggestions are dealt with appropriately, in accordance with policy, resolving where possible and escalating to appropriate manager as required
• Have a flexible/adaptable approach to their work in order to review a minimum of 70-80 referrals per day whilst also meeting other different deadlines
• Inputting into, monitoring and printing reports from computerised systems as required.

• Assist the Adjutant in evaluating requirements and manpower authorizations, manages military gains and estimates losses, and coordinates assignments of military personnel.

As a HR SPEC (R&P/COMP) (TITLE 32), GS-0201-9, you will provide advice and support to managers, supervisors, and the Human Resources Officer on recruitment and placement matters for professional, administrative, technical and clerical occupations (GS-09 and below) and for wage grade occupations (WG-10 and below); accumulate and analyze statistics concerning recruitment and placement function; ensure selection documentation and information is correct including military compatibility; check security requirements; counsel and register employees in DoD Priority Placement Program; interpret and apply State pay setting tools such as highest previous rate rule and recruiting and retention incentives; provide advice on military technician compatibility issues; assist technicians with permanent change of station moves; assist in conducting reductions-in-force (RIF); assist in developing, coordinating, and maintaining state plans/guidance; assist in educating commanders, managers, and supervisors on the various programs; respond to inquiries on recruitment and placement related matters.

• Provide expert civilian personnel management advisory and counsel to the Office of the Chief, Army Reserve (OCAR), human resources officers, and command staff.
• Direct Headquarters Civilian Personnel Programs, including management and program analysis, manpower and budget administration, civilian human resources management, and mobilization and contingency plans.
• Develop briefings, talking points, executive summaries, and information papers for the Director and senior Army Reserve leadership.
• Interpret, develop, and direct the implementation of the Army Reserve civilian and Military Technician personnel program in accordance with laws, regulations and directives.
• Monitor the Defense Authorization Bill from deliberation to final signature for legislative or budgetary issues and concerns that will impact the Army Reserve.
• Participate as a senior advisor in resource management and strategic planning meetings that affect the function, structure, and staffing of the Army Reserve civilian workforce.
• Formulate official written responses to Congress, Professional Staff Members, Department of Defense, and Department of Army regarding Army Reserve statutes, policies, and issues involving civilian personnel management.
• Collaborate with representatives from the Department of Defense, Department of Army, Office of Personnel Management, and state and local governments on personnel projects, providing technical expertise and professional judgement.

• Serve as the Civilian Personnel Management Office’s (CPMO) Executive Officer and a staff level Civilian Human Resources (CHR) consultant/advisor at the United States Army Reserve Command.
• Exercise responsibility for all facets of program administration for various HR programs to include identification of program needs, development of programs, and answering inquiries concerning the nature and purpose of programs.
• Advise on current and proposed Federal laws, executive orders, directives, OPM decisions, and policies regarding civilian personnel implications for assigned HR program area(s).
• Review responses to Congressional Inquiries, Army Audit Reports, Inspector General (IG) Inspections, DA and OPM Surveys, etc., regarding policies and practices.
• Prepare reports for the CPMO to analyze the personnel program for assigned activities.
• Maintain automated suspense systems for external and internal taskings and staff actions.
• Responsible for all Directorate publications such as establishing administrative policies, standard operating procedures, and/or directives related to the operations of the Directorate, personnel and administrative rosters.
• Review correspondence for administrative and technical accuracy, and rewrites if necessary before it goes to the appropriate level for signature.
• Maintain the Director and Deputy Director’s schedule, forecasting potential requirements, de-conflicting problems, and plan and project timeframes for historical recurring requirements.
• Execute priorities for daily operations based upon guidance from the Director and Deputy Director.
• Collaborate with senior specialist to evaluate, design, and implement command wide personnel programs and guidance.
• Provide recommended courses of action and other efficiencies that may aid in the achievement of desired goals and objectives.
• Initiate all Request for Personnel Actions (RPAs) upon request for a variety of civilian personnel actions for the CPMO and other Directorates in USARC or OCAR.
• Monitor and track civilian personnel actions through the Civilian Personnel Data System.
