To represent the trust externally (locally, regionally and nationally) regarding physiotherapy services provided to patients with complex medical conditions. To undertake the comprehensive assessment of patients, including those with a complex presentation, using investigative and analytical skills, and to formulate individualised management and treatment plans, using clinical reasoning, and utilising a wide range or treatment skills and options to formulate a specialised programme of care and to support junior staff in this work. You will contribute as a practising physiotherapist to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and post operative cases, playing a key role in helping our patients achieve, maintain, and recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to.

• be expected to participate in the team CPD and in-service training schedule. You will have a personal CPD budget to encourage you to continue your own learning and striving for clinical excellence.

As the leader of two teams you will have peer support available from other hospital Heads of Departments, your Regional Clinical Leads for Physiotherapy, Physiology and GPs, along with strong leadership from the Senior Management team on site.

The Person

You will need to have:

• Proven post qualification clinical experience

• Operational management experience within a healthcare setting is desirable

• Financial management experience within a healthcare setting is desirable

• Significant experience in physiotherapy delivery

• Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team

• Evidence of leadership within a team of health care professionals

• Candidates must be computer literate as we use an electronic patient record system

• Have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent; you'll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)

The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. The Opportunity

This position works out of our Plymouth, MN location in the Structural Heart medical devices division. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.

The Program Manager manages programs of small to medium scope, or a significant subsection of a large program. Sr. Managers manage larger programs.  Leads cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategies for new product development and successful commercialization.  Manages matrixed resources to ensure programs meet their agreed upon milestones and deliverables.  Represents the program to the organization, reports core team progress, program recommendations, risks, and resolutions of issues to senior leadership.

What You'll Work On:

• Lead core teams towards program objectives.

• Communicates with all levels of the organization, from operators on the floor to the President in order to represent the objectives, risks, and needs for the program.

• Lead activities across numerous functions to meet the objectives of a given program including scope, budget, and schedule.

• Establish and maintain the program and product Design History File.

• In partnership with the Program Director and fellow core team members,

• Develop comprehensive program plans, which identify objectives, strategy, risks/risk mitigation, budget, effort estimates and schedule for new product development.

Required Qualifications:

The Opportunity

The Category and Supplier Relationship team within Electrophysiology is responsible for the development and execution of category and supplier strategy for all direct material purchases.   This role will support and influence internal/external stakeholders to ensure engagement, alignment, and business readiness to drive improvements in quality, sustainability, supply chain risk, total cost of ownership, and technological capability of our supply base. This divisional role provides an opportunity to lead and work within diverse multi-functional teams and will collaborate with Global Procurement other Abbott Divisions.

What You’ll Work On

• Develop and guide implementation of category and supplier management strategies which support business growth and profitability objectives.
• Provides vision, leadership and direction withing the Category Strategy & Supplier Relationship Organization.
• Support annual operating plan,  long term goal setting (KPIs).
• Develop and lead long-term, customer focused supply chain solutions (VMI, Kanban, Supplier Portals,).
• Lead Category or Supplier Managers, who select global strategic suppliers, negotiate large complex development and supply contracts, develop supply chain commodity management strategies, prepare cost analysis, negotiate and manage contracts, and manage supplier relations.

• Leverages core business systems (SAP) and various software technologies to provide continuous improvements.
• Drive initiatives for development and redesign of processes that optimize carrying cost, operational cost, obsolescence cost, and service levels.

Required Qualifications

Clinical Audit/Quality Improvement (QI) All staff are actively encouraged to be involved in improving the quality of care for patients through QI and Audit. Clinical Governance The Maxillofacial department takes part in all expected clinical governance activities in line with UHP policies and process. All staff are expected to take part and will of course be subject to annual appraisal and revalidation. Monthly CME meetings are combined with departmental meetings to support staff development and improvements to departmental service provision. Education The Trust is working in partnership with the Peninsula Medical School, and the Peninsula Dental School. The Maxillofacial department makes a significant contribution to undergraduate education including Special Study Units, Plenary Lectures and formal teaching to both Dental and Medical Undergraduate students. Teaching activities generally are shared flexibly between interested staff. Research Research is actively encouraged. There is extensive opportunity and enthusiasm within the Department, Hospital and Peninsula Medical School for research developments. On-Call Arrangements The successful candidate will be expected to work a 1 in 3 weekday on call rota and 1 in 7 at weekends shared with Torbay consultant colleagues.
