Senior Staff Nurse (Paediatric Emergency Department)

We are seeking to recruit individuals to join our existing team of paediatric nurses. The Paediatric Emergency Department is a vital component of the trust this post is aimed at maintaining our strong leadership team at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. We strive to deliver high quality care to our patients 24 hours a day.

The senior team is committed to providing high quality care for all of the patients and developing and leading all nurses in the Emergency Department. Working as Senior Staff Nurse in the Paediatric Emergency Department alongside the senior ED nursing team.

Providing senior oversight to the Paediatric Department and supporting the Band 7 with management responsibilities of the team.

Ability to promote patient centred care and establish good relationships with patients and
carers.

To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team.

To be able to take charge of the department in the absence of senior staff.

To act as a lead nurse in an emergency or Trauma in Resus.
