Director, Learning Experience - Business & Helicopter Aviation Training, Global

CAE seeks a creative Leader to join our civil Business & Helicopter Aviation Training group as a global people leader.

• This global leadership role is responsible for several elements of continuous improvement in business and helicopter aviation which impact the Customer training experience.

• These elements include, but are not limited to Air Carrier onboarding and management, Instructor/Examiner operational qualification support, Customer end-to-end training solutions and CAE product advocation for business aviation.  

• The Leader will cultivate internal and external relationships with Operations, Customer Experience Teams, Civil Digital Teams, Marketing and Communications Teams.

• This Team will support Customer end-to-end technical training solutions navigating regulator and Operator challenges globally.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Management of Air Carrier training process including onboarding and ongoing management of the Customer operational regulatory requirements including end-to-end Customer solutions.

• Operate with a high-degree of autonomy supporting business development, Customer sales initiatives, operations and product to drive CAE’s high-tech company culture.

• Perpetual assessment of business interests to optimize, enhance the experience and support our Customers with complimentary digital solutions to CAE corporate strategy.

• Support Operations Team and collective objectives and key results (OKR’s) driving a complimentary strategy, supporting as needed.

• Support various projects which support implementation/adoption, evolution and objectives of the business.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Highly desirable to hold or have held an ICAO ATPL certificate.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications.

• Experience working with an Air Carrier – airline or charter company in a capacity more than a Pilot, preferably in Management.

• Familiarity in aviation, particularly business aviation to compliment change management activities.

• Preferred experience in multiple Civil aviation disciplines (Civil) and recent operational experience desired.

The PGS Learning Technology & Solutions (LT&S) Lead is responsible for leading a team of individual contributors who provide global expertise to the PGS network focused on Learning Management System (LMS) and related technology. The LT&S Team Lead serves as the overall PGS business owner / representative for the Pfizer LMS, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation and optimization of the global PGS LMS. The LT&S Lead represents PGS on the Enterprise Technology Steering Committee and sponsors the PGS global LMS forum (CoP) to drive excellence and compliance, including effective adoption of best practices.

The LT&S Team is an integral part of the PGS Personnel and Training Management Process Center of Excellence (COE) and partners with sites and functions to establish, manage and execute a digital learning roadmap for PGS. In addition, the LT&S team ensures global training programs/solutions are developed to support colleague readiness and that appropriate learning methods and technologies are used for delivery. To enable the Learning Vision, the LT&S team conducts external benchmarking, evaluates business trends, and works with Pfizer digital partners to determine innovative systems and tools that meeting PGS’ evolving needs.

How You Will Achieve It

Serve as the Business Owner for the PGS Learning Management System:

• Serve as the PGS business owner for the Pfizer LMS, partnering with the Enterprise Process Owner to assure the enterprise strategy effectively represents PGS needs.

• Partner with Digital, Quality, Compliance, and the sites to ensure an effective continuous improvement strategy of the LMS system and technologies.

• Actively support Regulatory and internal audits and can effectively represent the PGS LMS system.

• Represent PGS on system upgrades, assuring input to / review of user requirements, evaluation of new features / functions, execution of testing, and development of training materials.

• Sponsor the PGS PLA Community of Practice (CoP) that drives collaboration and adoption of best practices and solves system issues. Guides the team on proper escalation to CoE (center of Excellence) when support is warranted.

• Communicates with LPOs and system administrators about issues with and changes to the LMS.

• Review / approve Enterprise requests for PGS Security Roles.

• Serve as the PGS Change Network Lead for Growth & Development Learning Platform.

Build and maintain an LMS and technology strategy and roadmap that is fit for purpose:

• Partners with CoE and stakeholders to establish, manage and execute a digital learning roadmap for PGS. Puts forward business cases that support the roadmap and channels investments wisely.

• Define and implement network strategies, methods, and tools to promote effective and efficient learning solutions and technology.

• Sponsor or lead use cases/pilots for new methods and tools that improve delivery and effectiveness of training.

Provide leadership, coaching and support for the Learning Solutions and Technology team:

• Leads the group to ensure that appropriate eLearning is developed using good instructional design principles and fit for purpose tools that promote speed and efficiencies. Ensures appropriate training modalities.

• Provides guidance, support, development, prioritization and coaching to direct reports to ensure the team is delivering on objectives with high impact.

• Engages and promotes agile ways of working by looking for opportunities to cross-train within the team and more broadly in the network.

• Builds a high performing team that works synergistically with the larger QSOC team.

• Shares expertise of solutions and technology with Personnel and Training Management COE to increase knowledge of available technologies and influence direction.

Qualifications

Must-Have

ROLE SUMMARY

The purpose of the Senior Director of Clinical Research role is to coordinate and lead the development of first in man (FIH), proof of mechanism (POM), proof of clinical activity (SoCA) and proof of concept (PoC) and dose ranging studies for novel biological and small molecule therapies in Neurology focused programs. 

• The Senior Director of Clinical Research will be responsible for the Phase 2, PoM and SoCA trial designs and implementation of the study in collaboration with Pfizer development operations and the project team to meet enrollment and study delivery timelines.  The clinical study lead will be the primary liaison for investigators who have enrollment or extraordinary protocol issues that require escalation and may need to conduct study site visits to ensure timely delivery of the study.
• The individual will be involved with a focus on clinical drug activities from discovery research through PoM, SoCA and PoC studies. They will be a key member on project teams to collaborate with Early Clinical Development (ECD) and ensure seamless transition of the new asset to the Pfizer Global Product Development (GPD) for Ph3 development.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Director of Clinical Research will develop a disease specific global network of potential investigators and key opinion leaders (KoL) for the new therapeutic before PoM, SoCA or POC trial conception to assist in trial design, as well as management and recruitment of study, analysis, interpretation and presentation of results. Design PoM, SoCA or POC studies in consultation with KOLs and Pfizer project team members (Stats, Clin Pharm, Regulatory, Operations, etc.).

• Develop the primary and secondary endpoints for efficacy and safety and contribute to the precision medicine and biomarker strategy as well as to the biostatistics analytic plan that is aligned with the transition target product profile.
• Sit on project teams from FIH/POM/SOCA through POC trial completion to ensure that clinical development strategies are in place, being implemented and are contributing to key development milestones, e.g., start-up and delivery of PoM, SOCA and PoC trials.
   
• Accountable for safety across the study, including regular review of safety data (including but not limited to serious adverse events) and response to safety issues.
• Provide leadership to the clinical function in preparation of critical documents, including but not limited to clinical protocol, clinical development plan, investigator brochure, statistical analysis plan and regulatory documents.

Work on transition team with Late-stage development colleagues to analyze and interpret final POC clinical data in achieving study objectives and develop the phase 3 clinical strategy to support seamless transfer of the asset to the respective Phase3 team.

Establish relationships with external experts, consultants, opinion leaders, regulators and disease specific investigator networks.

The applicant will have the opportunity to participate in strategic assessment of I&I RU portfolio, and Business Development activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Requires MD or MD/PhD, neurology specialty required, but other specialists with experience in neurology clinical trials will be considered.

Technical Skills: Experience in generating hypothesis-driven research investigations.

Five or more years of experience in biopharmaceutical sponsored clinical research, with a minimum of two in neurology. Biopharmaceutical experience as a medical monitor and clinical lead across therapeutic areas is desirable.

Good understanding of relevant areas such as biostatistics, regulatory, clinical pharmacology, pre-clinical toxicology, pharmacogenomics and biomarker-based approaches.

Ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets.

Ability to operate with a sense of pace and urgency in matrixed project teams.

Exercises initiative in meeting goals and drives innovation in projects.
 

Demonstrated scientific productivity (publications, abstracts, etc.).

The Role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Director to lead our in vivo pharmacology research team. The successful candidate will play an integral role across our oncology research groups, overseeing the development of relevant in vivo animal and cell models, and the design and execution of pharmacology studies to propel our pre-clinical research and early development oncology pipeline in addition to Translational initiatives, such as in vivo combination evaluations. The Director will manage all internal and/ or external in vivo workflows, collaborating with various teams within Moderna, including Cancer Vaccine Research, Immuno-Oncology Research, and Research Operations. The ideal candidate will be a proven and effective team leader and people manager, highly collaborative team player, possess excellent communication skills, have a proven track record of independent research achievements, and bring innovative approaches to further our mission.

Here’s What You’ll do:

• Direct the execution and analysis of in vivo pharmacology studies that support oncology programs and platform initiatives

• Develop and refine in vivo murine tumor models and study protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory, ethical, and quality standards; including serving as Principal Investigator on internal in vivo pharmacology protocols

• Identify new tumor models and new techniques that will further advance mRNA therapies

• Work closely with internal teams to optimize in vivo study designs and oversee their execution, whether conducted in-house or through external partners

• Establish and maintain partnerships with Contract Research Organizations (CROs), industry partners and academic institutions for all in vivo studies

• Manage the analysis, review, and summary of in vivo pharmacology data to ensure robustness as well as integration into big picture considerations

• Contribute to and co-author scientific reports for inclusion in regulatory submissions, internal and external presentations

• Lead and allocate team resources and timelines to ensure the efficient progression of studies and achievement of objectives across multiple programs and oncology-focused teams

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• Advanced degree in Pharmacology, Oncology, or a related scientific field, with a PhD or DVM and at least 9+ years relevant experience

• Demonstrated expertise in in vivo pharmacology within oncology drug discovery and early development, preferably with a focus on nucleic acid therapeutics and vaccines

• Deep knowledge of immuno-oncology including current and emerging standards of care to inform forward translational studies

• Experienced in the creation and use of diverse in vivo cancer models for efficacy and PK/PD studies, including advanced local, systemic, disseminated, and orthotopic syngeneic, xenograft and genetically engineered murine models

• Knowledge in overseeing relevant cell model development to be deployed in vivo

• Highly experienced in in vivo study management, including pharmacological agent administration via IV, IP, SC, iTu, IM, and PO dosing routes including vaccination protocols; regular health and tumor growth monitoring; bioluminescence/fluorescence imaging using IVIS systems; necropsy and tissue collections

• Experienced in authoring, implementing and ensuring compliance to study protocols under IACUC guidelines

• Ability to mentor and develop junior scientists and research associates, and guide teams to successfully conduct in vivo studies, trouble shoot, and grow technically and scientifically

• Skilled in outsourcing studies and fostering productive relationships with CROs and/or academic collaborators

Reporting to CSO, External Research Ventures of Moderna, the Senior Director (SD) of Pulmonary Research is responsible for overseeing our therapeutic pulmonary research projects as well as leading and managing our external pulmonary research collaborations.  The SD of Pulmonary Research will be responsible for building our internal pulmonary capabilities and expertise, overseeing mRNA drug discovery projects into preclinical development, and driving the strategy for this emerging therapeutic area.  The SD will work closely with multiple internal stakeholders across functions including Platform, Nonclinical Sciences, Translational, Clinical Development, and R&D Strategy in addition to key external stakeholders involved in our external collaborations.  This is a superb opportunity for a highly motivated leader with pulmonary drug discovery expertise to join our dynamic team and impact our early pipeline.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Build and establish internal pulmonary capabilities and expertise to enable the inhaled pulmonary modality and therapeutics area
• Lead and direct a range of internal pulmonary therapeutic research projects.  Define objectives for research projects and ensure high-quality execution of these projects, including oversight of assays, study designs, and data
• Advance pulmonary therapeutic research projects into early development
• Oversee and manage relationships with external partners and collaborators.  Serve as Program Lead for external collaboration, effectively managing a large cross-functional internal team and working closely with external stakeholders to scientifically direct collaborations
• Mentor and have direct management responsibilities for the pulmonary research team
• Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific advances in pulmonary research and identify opportunities to incorporate new research methods and technologies
• Promote cross-functional collaboration across the organization
• Effectively communicate research progress, challenges and results to a variety of stakeholders, including teams across R&D organizations

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• Ph.D. in pulmonary pharmacology, respiratory medicine, or related field with 12 years of relevant experience in pulmonary research in industry setting
• Strong pulmonary physiology and pharmacology experience
• Excellent leadership and team building skills.
• Strong track record driving discovery projects into early development and leading successful research teams and projects
• Proven ability to oversee and manage strategic partnerships and collaborations.

The Opportunity 

We're looking for a world-class AI cloud services leader to lead our generative AI app integrations roadmap. Adobe Firefly services power generative AI features and experiences in a variety of applications like Generative Fill in Photoshop, Text to Vector in Illustrator, Text to Template in Express, Text to Image in multiple apps. In future, these services will power newer modalities like audio, video, 3D and multi-modal capabilities.

You will lead the US and global engineering teams focused on building Firefly pipelines and services to power generative features in Adobe’s apps/surfaces. Your goal will be to increase the velocity at which generative AI features are built and deployed and to implement a scalable process that multiplies Adobe’s generative AI capabilities surfaced in our products. You will also be responsible for operating high traffic GPU intensive pipelines for these generative workloads.

What You'll Do 

• Engage with Applied Research (and Research) groups and product teams like Photoshop, Illustrator, Express, and others to build an ambitious roadmap and plan to deliver end-to-end machine learning solutions that will power innovative new features in our flagship applications

• Work with product management leadership and other key stakeholders to define the generative AI feature strategy and secure executive buy in

• Partner with various platform teams to leverage existing inference systems or define new required enhancements to support new modalities (video, streaming, etc)

• Lead planning and delivery of GPU optimized, efficient model pipelines for new Firefly features serving a variety of modalities like images, vectors, 3D, etc.

• Grow and scale the process and global teams with a goal to increase the velocity of AI feature capability manifold.

• Ensure the delivery of a scalable, reliable cloud service with observability, logging and tracing to enable quick detection, understanding and resolution of run-time issues

What You’ll Need to Succeed 

• A minimum of twelve years of industry experience, including atleast five years of engineering leadership.

• A deep understanding of AI/ML, including ML frameworks, public cloud and commercial AI/ML solutions - familiarity with Pytorch, SageMaker, HuggingFace is required.

• Image Processing, Computer Vision, Generative AI experience is strongly preferred

• Atleast five years of AI/ML experience.

• Knowledge about creation and optimization as well as operation of GPU intensive ML workloads in production environments

• Understanding of model serving, orchestration, scaling and GPU resource management

• A track record of attracting talent and leading multiple high-performance teams to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment of AI infrastructure

• Strong communication and collaboration skills - building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions

• A passion for staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies in AI/ML - in the cloud and on device

• A Bachelor's, Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
