We are looking for a talented and inspirational Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance to join our team. You will be involved the design of a new course, the Accounting Finance Manager Degree Apprenticeship, and in the teaching of accounting and finance on undergraduate and postgraduate courses. About you

You will

be a talented and motivational educator, capable of supporting students to succeed;
Good honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
have professional expertise in accounting/finance
have experience of teaching on accounting and finance courses accredited by relevant PSRBs (Institute of Financial Accountants, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW)
ideally, you will be a CCAB membership (desirable)
ideally, you will have knowledge/experience of degree apprenticeships (desirable)
be a team player, committed to building an outstanding business school through the excellence of your work.

Hennel Lane is a 5-bed home in a quiet residential street on Walton Park in Preston! We provide support for young adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities to live the life they love! The individuals we support here at Hennel Lane love spending time in the garden when their families come to visit. They love all things arts and crafts and have been known to make their own bird feeders and sit and watch the birds enjoy! They love baking and making ginger bread houses in the winter months on the run up to Christmas! They celebrate each other’s birthdays with parties and lots of food and of course cake! A few of the individuals we support here at Hennel Lane have recently been on holiday, supported by staff and had the most amazing time!

This role is for a Clinical Nurse Specialist/Associate Clinical Nurse Specialist or equivalent to lead the Education and Organisational Development team to plan, organise and deliver clinical and non clinical education, training and organisational development across the Hospice, ensuring compliance with national legislation. You will build strong links with external education providers, broadening the reach of the hospice education and training offer, to support high quality palliative and end of life care and seek to expand our income generating activities by proactively identifying opportunities for education and partnerships to ensure there are sustainable income streams. You will work in conjunction with the Higher and Further Education Institutions and other establishments to develop, plan, deliver and evaluate appropriate programmes at all academic levels. You will work in collaboration with senior clinical colleagues to plan and ensure our clinical workforce is equipped with the necessary skills to provide safe and effective care to our patients. You will deliver specialist clinical programmes to clinicians at all levels utilising your clinical knowledge and expertise. Lead and manage the Education and Organisational Development team to deliver high quality training both internally and externally. Manage the education and organisational development budget effectively. Deliver specialist clinical training programmes to clinicians at all levels. Develop and update educational policies to reflect local and national policy Contribute to Hospice Board and Committees to support the achievement of relevant business plan objectives and organisational strategy. Work with the Hospice Medical Director, and in collaboration with the Higher Education institutions, to deliver modules and develop learning opportunities for all Hospice colleagues. Develop relationships with local colleges to build links for partnership working Support the development of career pathways across the Hospice.
