The main responsibilities of this role include the delivery and assessment of high quality learning programmes in Aviation Engineering, across the higher education provision, as well as undertaking a range of programme leadership, tutorial and programme administration duties.

This post requires a strong background in Aviation Engineering and the candidate must have proven track record of professional / vocational expertise in the Aviation sector.

The candidate must be qualified to honours degree level (Level 6) or qualified to the industry-recognised standard in a relevant field, hold a post-16 teaching qualification and English and maths qualifications at level 2, or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe. It is desirable that the candidate has experience of effective programme leadership in FE, HE and / or Apprenticeships and has a proven track record of successful teaching and assessment practice.

An ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines alongside strong oral and written communication skills and good IT skills are also essential. The hours of work will be flexible and may include evening and weekends according to demand. Main Duties and Responsibilities:

To teach on full-time Level 2 and T Level in Building Services Engineering Level 3, part-time diplomas and Level 3 Standards for Apprenticeship programmes.
Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of internal and external exams, developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
To play a full part in the organisational and developmental work of the Department and Faculty including assistance with quality assurance systems.
To be involved, as necessary, in marketing of the College, Faculty and Department and play an active role in activities such as open days and through liaison with local and national employers.
To be involved in a range of Employer Engagement activities.


Required Skills and Experience:

Has qualifications at Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant Construction discipline, and/or has recent and relevant industrial experience in related topics.
Has relevant experience in teaching/training and skills development.
Has /holds the relevant industry standard certificates (JIB Gold Card/ AM2) would be desirable.
Has or is willing to study for a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
Has industry experience, with current knowledge and the ability to deliver to industry standard.
Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.

The main responsibilities of this role include the delivery and assessment of high-quality learning programmes in light vehicle maintenance and repair, across a range of levels of further education and apprenticeship provision, as well as undertaking a range of programme leadership, tutorial and programme administration duties.

This post requires a strong background in light vehicle maintenance and the candidate must have proven track record of professional / vocational expertise in the Automotive sector. The candidate will have a good understanding of apprenticeship provision and EPA. Ideally the candidate will be multi-skilled and willing to engage in further professional development.
